Student Council Sponsors Annual Food Drive! 🦃
HHS Student Council will be supporting Hillsboro Interfaith Ministries in their annual Food For Families food drive from November 4th-20th. HIM supports hundreds of families both within our local community and beyond throughout the entire year.
Our aim, as a campus, is to collect as many items as possible to support their efforts. To amp up the competition, 3rd period classes will be competing for the highest number of goods to win an ice cream or popcorn party! So make sure to bring your cans and truly get into the spirit of this holiday season! 🍁
Tennis Parent Meeting on 11/20 🎾
Coaches Abt and Carmona will be hosting a Tennis Parent Meeting on Nov. 20th at 7pm in the HHS Cafeteria for all students that are interested in playing tennis this year. If your student plans on playing, please make plans to be in attendance! 🎾
ASVAB on 11/20
HHS will be offering the ASVAB on Nov. 20th to 10th-12th grade students that are interested in signing up. The ASVAB test is a standardized test that helps determine a person's eligibility and suitability for military service and careers, but can also help identify careers that may be a good fit for a person, even if they are not interested in joining the military. Students will need to check their email for a Google Form to fill out or let a counselor know they are interested.

🇺🇸 HHS Celebrates Veterans Day and Coach Byrd for his service! 🇺🇸
On Monday, HHS celebrated Veterans Day by wearing red, white, and blue and discussing what Veterans Day really means to America and all the service men and women that have sacrificed to protect the freedoms we have the privilege of enjoying today. We also had the opportunity to honor and thank our one and only Coach Adam Byrd for his service!
Coach Byrd served in the U.S. Army from September 2002 to April 2010. He served with the 27th MSB, 515th FSB, and 1st Cavalry Horse Detachment. All of which are a part of the 1st Cavalry, Ft Cavasos, Texas. Coach Byrd participated in Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2004-2005, was stationed at FOB Falcon (Ferrin-Huggins), and served as a combat medic. Coach Byrd, we salute you today and every day, are beyond grateful for your service to our nation, and are blessed to have you set such an incredible example to help grow the next generation of proud American citizens here at HHS.
