Principal's Corner
Hello Natoma Station Families,
Our Cheetahs had a very successful second week of school! This week, I got to visit many classrooms where I had the pleasure of reading aloud to students. I am so impressed with how well our students are doing following routines and procedures and how engaged they are in learning.
Thank you for attending our Back to School Night yesterday. You are your child's first teacher and an important partner as they continue their learning journey. We look forward to a strong partnership with you. Please click on the link to learn all about our school: NSE Back To School Presentation 2024-25. In addition, please take some time to read over our Student Parent Handbook: NSE 2024-2025 Parent Student Handbook
Morning Drop Off Reminders
Students in grades 1-5 are now participating in our morning walking club when they arrive at school in the morning. Due to limited supervision at this time, our playground equipment is off limits. Also, due to safety considerations, our campus is a closed campus from 7:45 AM - 4:00 PM.
Attendance Challenge
Good school attendance directly impacts student success. This year, we are going to monitor our daily attendance rates closely and partner with families to ensure that our Cheetahs arrive at school on time every day. Our goal is to achieve a 97% daily attendance rate this year. In the first 7 days of school we narrowly missed our target. Students in grades 1-5 met our attendance goal but we still have some work to do with our youngest Cheetahs in TK and Kindergarten. Our daily attendance rates from TK-5th grade was 96.49% for the first 7 days of school. The primary (TK-2nd Grade) class with the highest attendance rate is Ms. McClure's 1st grade class with a 98.6% average! The intermediate class with the highest attendance rate is Mr. Ambrose's class with a 99.5% average!

Our PTO is actively involved in supporting our school in so many ways. Getting involved is a great way to help our school and connect with families in our community.
