Believe, Achieve, Succeed
The Barack Obama Male Leadership Academy
Principal's Note
Hello BOMLA family!
As we embark on this weekend. Please take time to understand the reason that we are afforded a day off from school. There is a great leader that was the representation of character, strength, perseverance and endurance. His life was cut short by hate but understand that he stood on love. Love and understanding of self and love and understanding of each other. Also understand that he did not do this alone. For he was the figure to stand out front but there were many assisting him in the background. Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was an advocate for the people.
One of his famous quotes is, "Life's most persistent and urgent question is, "What are you doing for others?" I ask that you reflect upon this during this extended weekend and make a point to help just one person this weekend. Know that hate against hate will only bring more hate. The only way to cancel out hate, is to shower it with love. Spread love this weekend, starting at home and then share it with the community.
Have a great weekend and we will see you all on Tuesday!
BELIEVE! ACHIEVE! SUCCEED!
Nota del Director
¡Hola familia BOMLA!
¡CREER! ¡LOGRAR! ¡TENER ÉXITO!
