Begin in Gratitude!
November is a great time for us to remember all the things for which we can be grateful. I am grateful to our incredible community for supporting our school with your time, donations, attendance, and dedication to our mission and values.
On Monday, I hope our families take a moment to remember and appreciate all of the veterans who have fought for and protected our country and our freedom. When we return to school on Tuesday, 11/12, our whole school (staff and scholars) will show our gratitude and support for our active military oversees by writing & coloring holiday cards to send our troops. We are partnering with Youth For Troops, who provided us with blank cards. Along with two other Heritage schools, we are committed to sending 1000 cards to our military this holiday season.
You can learn more about Youth For Troops HERE.
We have extra blank holiday cards for our families to participate too! If you would like some additional cards to write your own holiday message, please email Leah Jenks and let her know how many you want. I will send additional cards home with your scholars. We will also have cards available in the front office We need all cards returned by Wednesday, Nov. 20th.
IMPORTANT Winterwear Uniform Reminder
We sent a very important email out to parents on Monday regarding winterwear guidelines for our uniform. Starting on Tuesday, 11/12, we will be strictly enforcing this policy. If scholars come to school wearing non-uniform outerwear, please be aware that we will contact home for parents to bring alternative winterwear.

25-26 Calendar Survey
Although it is only November 2024, we are already planning for the 25-26 school year. We would love your input on two different calendar options for next year. Please click on this LINK to provide your feedback.
The survey will remain open until Thursday, November 14th only.
Winter Festival is Coming!
PTO sponsored Winter Festival is just FIVE WEEKS away. This is an incredible community event that you won't want to miss!
This year, each class homeroom will contribute a themed basket for the silent auction. Please check your scholar's backpack TODAY for your homeroom basket theme. Each homeroom will collect items and donations towards their basket, which will be bid on at the festival. The homeroom with the highest bid will win a pizza party from the PTO.
Also- the winter festival is where our scholars will perform their holiday concert. Stay tuned for the specific times that each grade level will perform.
Support Professionals Appreciation Day
On November 20th, we are celebrating our incredible support staff, without whom we simply couldn't function. Ms. Hristina, Mrs. Santizo, and Mrs. Zurita (Ms. Z) support our teachers and scholars everyday. They make pick-up and drop off, recess and lunch supervision, and classroom support possible. Please consider showing them your gratitude either with a thank you note, picture, or small treat. Click HERE for a list of staff favorites.
Mrs. Zurita
Ms. Z (that's what scholars call her) is the instructional aide or paraprofessional in special education. In addition to greeting scholars in driveline and supervising during Kinder-2nd grade lunch and recess, Ms. Z supports scholars one-on-one in the classroom to meet their learning goals.
Ms. Hristina
Ms. Hristina is our campus aide and can be seen everywhere with a smile for our scholars. She supervises scholars during all morning recesses and during all scholar lunches. When she's not around campus, you can find her in first grade with Mrs. Smith or filling in anywhere that we need help.
Mrs. Santizo
Mrs. Santizo is a Heritage parent who started working in our Liberty Preschool last year, began the school year as a campus aide at Pinnacle, and is now Ms. S's right hand support in kindergarten. Mrs. Santizo spends everyday, all day with our youngest scholars, supporting their learning and success.

Driveline Procedures
Morning driveline begins at 7:30 a.m.
Afternoon driveline is 3:15-3:30 p.m. (gates open at 3:00 p.m.)
RED ARROWS- this is the new kindergarten driveline for pick-up after school only. All kindergarten scholars (with their 1st-8th grade siblings) will be waiting in the courtyard and they will exit through the wooden gates to load their cars. Pull as far forward as possible.
IMPORTANT! Liberty Kids Preschool uses this curb to pick up at 2:45 p.m. Kinder parents cannot start lining up on the curb until 3:00 p.m.
BLACK ARROWS- this will continue to be the driveline for 1st-8th grade pick-up. The gates will open at 3:00 p.m. Please pull as far forward as possible so we can remove traffic from Pinnacle Peak Rd.
Waiting on Pinnacle Peak Rd- cars that are facing WEST need to pull as far off the road and into the dirt as possible while they wait to enter the parking lot.
Out of consideration for other parents who have been waiting in line, please do not drive through and then wait in the parking lot to cut the drive line. We have received multiple complaints from parents who are waiting in the long line. We appreciate everyone doing their part and showing each other courtesy and patience.
Please follow these guidelines for a safe and efficient pick up:
- Have your car tag clearly displayed.
- Pull up to the furthest cone possible.
- If you need to buckle your child, pull forward and off to the side.
- Eyes up, phone down please!
- Show citizenship, patience, and courtesy to other parents & drivers- YOU are setting an example for all of our scholars.
IMPORTANT NOTICE- Student Pick-up Time Limit
After school, scholars should be picked up by 3:30 p.m.
Scholars who are still on campus after 3:30 (and parents are not actively waiting in driveline) will be walked to Hero Club and parents will be charged a $20 non-registration fee plus $2/minute past 3:45 p.m. After two occurrences, your scholar will be enrolled in Hero Club at the monthly fee.
If you know you will frequently arrive later than 3:15, please register your scholar for Hero Club.
