7th grade Second Step Lesson topic for the week of 11-25-24-Your Self-Concept?
Summary: In this week’s lesson, our 7th grade Knights will describe multiple parts or pieces of their self-concept.
At home question to ask your Knight- Tell your Knights about the way you see yourself. Describe different aspects of your self-concept, such as the way you see yourself at work vs. at home. Ask your Knight to describe their self-concept, including how they see themselves emotionally, physically, socially, or at school.
8th grade Second Step Lesson topic for the week of 11-25-24- Sources of Confidence
Summary- In this week’s lesson, our 8th grade Knights will learn about confidence—their belief in their ability to do something—and that there are four sources of confidence.
At home question to ask your Knight- Tell your Knight about a time when you felt confident and then describe a time when you didn’t feel confident or when you increased your confidence. Ask your Knight what the four sources of confidence are.
If you have not completed the Education Benefits form, please do so before Tuesday, November 26th. This form determines our district's free/reduced rate, and while everyone gets free meals, this rate helps determine funding for other programs in our district.

Mrs. Sommers sent an email to each of our FPS families last week which included your student’s name and ID number (The ID number is needed to add their students' name to form).

At this time, families are able to request to change the learning mode for their student(s) for the second semester of the 2024-2025 school year. Students who are currently attending school in-person in can switch to virtual, and students who are enrolled in virtual can switch to in-person. If you do not wish to switch your child’s learning mode, no action is necessary.
Requests will be handled on a case-by-case basis. Submitting the form linked in this email does not guarantee a request will be granted. Requests will be reviewed by building and district leadership and the parent/guardian will be notified. If approved, the change will be effective for the second semester (January 6, 2025 - June 6, 2025). Please carefully consider this semester-long commitment before submitting this application, as requests to change during the second semester will not be granted. However, the District may change your child’s learning mode if appropriate academic progress is not met throughout the semester.
If you are interested in changing your child’s learning mode for the second semester, please fill out this application. You will need to submit one request for each student.

This application will close on December 16th. You will be notified by the District of your child’s application status and specific information will be provided about the switch.
The Knight Shift in November and December- After-School Homework Club in the media center from 3:05pm-4:00pm.
The Knight Shift after-school homework club (designated Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:05pm-4:00pm in the media center).
*Students who attend the Knight Shift must arrange for transportation home after 4pm.
The Knight Shift -“The time period after a long day of work to organize, to prepare, and to be ready for success!”
All Noble Knights are invited to attend the Knight Shift…If they have:
Homework assignment(s) to complete- Individual tables area
A group project needs to be worked on - Collaboration stations area
A quiet location to read - Flexible seating area
Please note- Outside purchased food and beverages are not permitted during the Knight Shift session.
The Knight Shift will be staffed by RMS staff member(s) during each sessions.

12/3 - Tuesday: 3:05pm-4:00pm
12/5 - Thursday: 3:05pm-4:00pm

Outside Food and Beverage Policy
Outside food delivery is a safety concern. We do not want to have strangers and people that we do not know coming to our buildings with delivery bags. It also is a workload issue for office personnel. Managing multiple food deliveries during lunchtime becomes an additional responsibility for our office staff.
The District works hard to provide a variety of healthy, good-tasting food in its cafeterias, and students are always free to bring their own lunch to school. We will continue to follow our past practice of making sure students receive lunch if they forget to bring one from home.
