Winter Parent Teacher Conferences
Music Update
Once we got back from winter break we hit the ground running in Music Class! My favorite part of the month was listening to our students sing our school song at our welcome back assembly. In class we talked about MLK, what our future dreams are, how we can change the world, and how to be a good friend to everyone. Lunar New Year began on 1/29 and 2nd graders have been adding instruments to a song called Xīn Nián Kuài Lè, which translates to Happy New Year. Stay tuned for more videos on seesaw. Ms. Freeman
Repeated Information
Incoming Kindergarten Registration
If your child turns 5 by Sept. 1, 2025, mark your calendar for Kindergarten Roundup on Friday, Feb. 7. The registration event will be held from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the District 75 East District Office, 470 N. Lake Street.
Don't forget to bring their birth certificate, a copy of your mortgage or lease and two current utility bills. For more information on registration, contact Patty DeLozier at 847-949-2700 ext. 2014.
Indoor Recess
In District 75, students have indoor recess when the "real feel" is less than 10 degrees. We are all excited about the forecasted break in the arctic temperatures headed our way. Until then, here are some pictures from a typical indoor recess!
Valentines and End of Year Class Party
This year, the teachers decided to hold the third class party at the end of the school year. The date will be determined by the teacher, in consultation with the parent party planners. If you and your child were hoping to send valentines, the teachers are still honoring friendship that week. As long as there is no candy/food, notes for every classmate is A-Okay.
PTO Updates
Tonality Dine Out Night: Head to Tonality (D75 Family Business) for a night of no cooking. Show this flyer or mention D75 PTO and Tonality will donate 15% back to the PTO! Each night is themed to a school in the District, but you can attend any of the listed nights.
