From the Principal
Hello, Lodi High School Families-
There has been much to celebrate over the past month at Lodi High School. Our students continue to impress us with their dedication in the classroom, on the athletic court, and in their many co-curricular activities. In this month’s edition of the Blue Devils Bulletin, we highlight their accomplishments in the arts, on the mat, in various competitions, and even in the courtroom. When our students achieve great things, they do so not only for their own growth but also for the betterment of the entire LHS community.
Parents, thank you once again for supporting our students and allowing us the privilege of playing an important role in their lives. Our continued partnership is what makes LHS a great place for students, staff, and the broader community.
Reminder: On March 11, our juniors will be taking the ACT. Only 11th graders, along with 9th and 10th graders who signed up for the practice ACT, are expected to report to school that day. Please reach out if you have any questions.
Go Blue Devils!

Hearing the students cheer when they answered questions correctly was definitely a highlight of the evening. The top teams received gift cards to Barnes & Noble. Tying for 3rd place were The Bookworms (Bella, Peyton, and Hannah) and The Refs/The Chiefs (Nicholas, Landon, and Owen). In 2nd place were the Wiz Kids (Ady, Henry, and Paige). SAPS Club - Making a Difference
Recently members of the Science Applied Problem Solving Club (SAPS) worked with high school and middle school administration to formulate a plan to have feminine hygiene dispensers placed in all girls bathrooms and locker rooms at LHS and LMS. This initiative ensures that all students have access to essential hygiene products, promoting their well-being, and ability to focus on learning without unnecessary stress or embarrassment. Middle and high school can be a challenging time, especially as students navigate their first experiences with their menstrual cycle. By providing these resources, SAPS hopes to alleviate some of the anxiety surrounding this issue and ensure that no students feels unprepared or unsupported.

How to Help Your Child Navigate Through High School
The Social Studies Department
Every month one of our departments will share some advice with our parents on how best you can help support your child during these sometimes very difficult years. Many of our teachers have or have had teenagers of their own, so they 100% understand the challenges that parenting this age group can present.
We hope you enjoy the video!

Thank you for trying our Iconic Eats! Thank you for trying the Korean BBQ pulled pork tacos. Thanks to Mr. Puls for promoting them!
We will also be having a meatless choice for Lent again on Ash Wednesday and every Friday. This month we will also be offering a chicken tinga tostada, pulled pork poutine, meatless tacos, buffalo chicken tot bake, tuna salad sandwiches in the Grab n Go. Watch for our specials and give them a try.
Some Housekeeping issues I would like your help fixing. If you drop a tray or silverware please pick it up and set it on top of the cooler that is right next to the tray cart. Also, please do not come into the kitchen unless you are making purchases as the kitchen gets too crowded. Please wait outside the kitchen for your friends and help us keep the kitchen lines moving. Also, do not come into the kitchen eating food as we do not know if you brought it from home or are purchasing it. These few changes should help everyone get in and out faster.
I hope you have a great Spring Break and enjoy the March Madness!

LCAT
The Lodi Community Action Team (LCAT) was established in 2007 to address alcohol use among teens in the Lodi area. Over time, LCAT began to analyze the data collected in the community and assess actual events. This led to efforts to educate the community about the dangers of risky behaviors and promote a safer environment for our children.
In the winter of 2024, a strategic plan was developed to guide LCAT's initiatives. This plan is built on three key pillars: engage, empower, and elevate. With these pillars in mind, we aim to fulfill our mission of empowering our school and community to prevent youth substance use through education, environmental prevention strategies, and fostering connections with caring adults. Our quarterly newsletter is a way to share projects, events, trainings, and meetings.
LHS Staff Appreciation
Appreciate a Staff Member!
We have so many amazing educators here at Lodi High School! Mr. Jelinek and Mr. Marshall sat down with each staff member, and one of the common themes that came up was how much our staff love to be appreciated by the families that they serve. When you experience a staff member who is going above and beyond or deserves some recognition, please consider giving them a shout-out through our staff appreciation google form. Your appreciation will be put on a staff appreciation poster and shared with that staff member.
