Laker Anchor
April 13, 2024
Greetings, Laker Families-
I hope you all have been able to enjoy a few extra moments with family and friends this past week. As we gear up to return to school on Monday after spring break, it is hard to believe that it is already mid-April! There are so many things on the calendar to bring to your attention for these last 9 weeks of school…we have lots of learning still to do in addition to some fun school and PTA sponsored activities!
April is National Autism Awareness Month. Each of our classroom teachers will be incorporating age-appropriate conversations and lessons into their instruction.
Warm weather is on the horizon, and we are asking our parents for some help. When that sun comes out, it is always challenging for students to know what is “appropriate” clothing for school and what is best reserved for home or the beach. If you could take just a few minutes to review the dress code on pages 45-46 of the Student and Family Information Guide with your child(ren), this will help us all be on the same page for supporting school wide expectations (pdf also attached to this newsletter). Thank you!
