Negative Lunch Balances
To make sure we are communicating effectively, Mrs. Paula, in our office, will also send home a paper notification in your child's Thursday Folder. If balances are a larger amount and you are not qualified under a Free or Reduced account- she has attached a paper copy for you to fill out to help assist. Even if you qualify for Free or Reduced there is NO BACK PAYMENT, therefore, the money is still owed. Even making a small payment toward the amount is helpful - if you are having financial difficulty or the amount still goes unpaid, our counselors will be reaching out to see how we can better assist. This is a team/family effort and we want you to know that you are not alone.
You can also always check your student's lunch account balance through the parent portal - you can even connect a bank account or card or PayPal even to add money electronically if you prefer that option.
*Anyone who feels the urge or desire to make a donation towards Zitzman Lunch Accounts can send in a cash donation or a check made payable to Zitzman Elementary.
Thursday October 17th - Donate $1.00 & Wear Pink
In Honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Zitzman staff will be doing a pop-up awareness day and we would love for the students to join along if they choose.
Please donate a $1.00 and wear pink!
All donations will go to Making Strides of St. Louis Foundation.

Zitzman Expectations and Guidelines to follow for Thursday Oct. 31st
Costume FYI as you may start preparing for the Holiday:
We plan to do a school wide parade either through the hallways or outside (weather pending) to showcase our holiday spirit towards the end of the school day.
There are two options when thinking about your student and their costume on 10/31.
1. Your student can wear their costume to school. This option would mean they are able to use the restroom on their own, without any zipper or assistance, when needing to go. They are still able to learn and complete work as needed in their costume.
2. Your student can bring their costume. If your student brings their costume, there will be time dedicated before the school parade for them to change into. This option would only be doable if your student is able to dress themselves into their own costume independently.
General MVR3 Guidelines to be aware of and follow:
-No weapon or toys/accessories
-No face paint or masks
-No Inflatable costumes (these are unsafe in a school setting, causing a tripping hazard along with other worries)
-No scary or gory like costumes
