September Weekly Update
Hello Fox Families!
As we wrap up the third week of school, I want to take a moment to extend my heartfelt gratitude to all of you for helping us kick off the new school year on such a positive note. It’s been a joy to see our halls filled with the excitement and energy of your children, eager to learn and make new friends.
These past two weeks have been all about settling in, getting to know one another, and establishing routines that will carry us through a successful year. I’ve had the pleasure of visiting classrooms and witnessing firsthand the enthusiasm and curiosity our students bring to their learning. From engaging lessons to joyful play at recess, it’s clear that we’re building a strong, supportive community together.
Thank you for your continued partnership as we navigate this new school year. Your involvement—whether it’s ensuring your child is ready for school each day, communicating with teachers, or volunteering and participating in our events—makes a tremendous difference. Together, we’re laying the foundation for a year of growth, discovery, and achievement.
Please keep an eye out for a weekly Remind message from the campus with important updates, upcoming events, and ways to stay connected with our school community.
Thank you once again for your support and trust. Here’s to a fantastic school year!

Free/Reduced Breakfast and Lunch Applications
The 2024-2025 Free and Reduced Lunch Application is now available at kisd.us/frmealapp. Please note that parents must apply each year and any applications submitted before July 1, 2024, will become invalid after the 30-day grace period, ending on September 25th. To determine if your household qualifies, please refer to the income eligibility guidelines.
We encourage you to apply early to avoid delays in receiving benefits. Remember, you can reapply if your household income changes during the school year. Ensuring every student has access to nutritious meals is essential for their academic success and overall well-being.
Cell Phones/Electronic Devices
The district permits students to possess personal cell phones for safety purposes; however, these devices must remain turned off and put away during the instructional day, including during all testing.
If a student uses an electronic device during the school day, the device will be taken to the office. The parent may pick up the device from the principal’s office. This includes watches.
