Hello Thunderbird Nation!
We are approaching the 100th school day!! Please see the flier below!
Here are a couple of logisticals things we are asking families to help with and understand:
- In general, we are asking that parents who drop their child off do not go further down the hallway than the office. This is to make sure we keep everyone as safe as possible. If you have questions about this, please let me know.
- We are asking that students leave their toys at home. Our goal is to preserve the focus on your child's education and to play with the things we have at school.
- There are two more weeks of Math Club. It is scheduled to end during the week of February 10th.
Have a great week!
Have an extraordinary week!

SPED Class
January has been filled with snow, sounds of the letters, adding and subtraction and so much more in our class!
Language Arts:
We celebrated the letter Kk as well as Chinese New Year!
The students have been working hard writing and discussing the letter Kk. We came up with several words that start with K and reviewed our vowel sounds. The students made kites and red envelopes for Chinese New Year. The students are loving having the 5th grade buddies every Friday.
Math: We are focused on subtraction with our Kinder students. They love using the counters and taking away the given number and counting what is left. They are learning how to write an equation with some guidance. Our first grade students are learning how to count tens and ones and will continue addition and subtraction with single and double-digit numbers.
On Wednesday, our class will participate in Our school-wide Global Play Day. We will have fun games and art activities that the students can participate in! We will have so much fun!
We are also excited to celebrate our 100th day of school soon.....more details to come!
Happy February!!! Enjoy your weekend.
