Need to Know
- Current 5th and 6th graders should plan to join us on Wednesday for our "Rising Night". This event is a drop-in event from 4:30-6pm. There are short sessions to attend if you choose, details are below in this newsletter.
Questions of the Week
Keep them talking!
Do you ever ask your child about his/her day and you get a one word answer? or a shrug? Use these questions to find out more about your child's day!
Career Awareness 6 - How can a planner help you manage your time and be more organized and responsible? Also, what did you learn about the Arts, A/V Technology and Communications Career Cluster?
Health 6 - Describe some of the daily workout you do in Health Class. Which is your favorite and why? How would you grade your participation in trying each workout at why?
Science 7 - Give examples of producers, consumers and decomposers.
Science 6 -What happened in the 1900's to cause more CO2 in our atmosphere?
SS 6 - Name and describe the 2 types of ancient Greek plays.
SS 7 -What was a big challenge during the Constitutional Convention?
Acc. Math 7 -What is the most interesting thing you learned about inequalities?
Math 7 -What are the four inequality symbols?
Math 6 - Use the distributive property to make an equivalent expression for 4(3x - 2).
ELA 6 -Define central idea.
ELA 7 -What point of view is The Outsiders being told in? What is the setting (time and place) of “The Outsiders”?
PE - What would you include on a list about physical activity?
SEC -Think about what makes you happy, sad, and mad.
Library 6 -Name three tricks you can use to spot "fake news".
Band -Have you learned any new notes or scales this quarter?
Art 7 - What was your favorite watercolor painting technique?
Stagecraft - What props are you working on currently?
Music 6 - What are the lines and spaces of the Treble Clef?
Update: there is a meeting for Advanced Algebra I for 8th-graders at 5:00 in the Lowes Room. This is only if your student is not currently enrolled in 7th-grade Accelerated math.
