The 2024 Yearbook is available for pickup! Graduates can pick their yearbooks up in the office.

A very limited number of yearbooks are available for those who did not purchase last year. The cost is $60.

We will have a pep assembly on Friday, October 4th. Here is the schedule.

The Ride with Pride Pledges have been distributed to mentorship classes. Students will have until Friday, Oct. 4th to sign the pledge and turn it back into their mentorship class. If a student doesn't have mentorship, please by the office. There will be a drawing the following week for all students who turned in the pledge. We will continue monthly drawings throughout the school year for students that continue to meet the criteria.

An Evening of Short Plays, will be held on Tuesday and Thursday, October 1 and 3 from 2:30-4 p.m. Students only need to attend one of those days. Be prepared to do some theater games, improvisations, and read from a script. See Mr. Vander Velde if you have any questions.

There will be a Homecoming dance for all high school students after the football game on Friday, October 4th until 11:30 p.m. All tickets must be purchased in advance. Guest approval form must be returned to the office by Thursday, October 3rd. Guest tickets must be approved before purchasing. Students can purchase tickets in the main office before school, at lunch, or after school starting Monday, Sept. 30th. The cost is $5.00. All fines and fees must be paid in full in order to attend the dance. No ticket sales at the door.

OVHS is going to Craig's Cruisers for the day in Grand Rapids. If you are interested, permission slips are in the A100 Pod. Money and permission slips need to be turned in to Mrs. Millis in room A103 by Friday, Oct. 4th. Seats are limited. This trip will take place on October 18th.

Please take a moment to review the following policies.

• All students must be out of the building at 2:35 p.m. (normal) or 1:25 p.m. (early release) unless they are with staff or a coach.

• Students from other buildings are not allowed in the building to wait for siblings. They must wait outside.

• Any student found in the building after 2:35 p.m. or 1:25 p.m. unsupervised will be escorted out of the building. If you are caught in person or discovered later on video in the building, you will be subject to disciplinary action including but not limited to detention, ISS, OSS, or a trespassing ticket from Muskegon Township Police Department.

• Students who let other students into the building or prop doors will also be subject to disciplinary action.
