Cougar Newsletter - September 4, 2024
Message from Your Principal
Cougar Community,
Our year is in full swing, and we have had an amazing start. Our students make us proud on a daily basis, and they are learning how to follow the rules everyday. We appreciate all of the parent and guardian support we receive, so keep it up.
- If your student is needing immunizations, please contact our school nurse (dion.castaneda@nisd.net) starting August 12, 2024
- For the 2024-2025 academic year, we have a new attendance/ absence policy. Parent/ Guardian written health excuses may only be accepted until the fifth absence of the year. Upon the student’s sixth health related absence, a doctor’s note must be provided.
- Remember, we are an AWAY for the DAY campus, so phones and earbuds must be Away for the School Day. Phones and earbuds can only be used during lunch and before/after school.
- Take a moment to review the dress code policy below.
We want to thank you for sending your student everyday. Please keep up the great work. Attendance truly matters!
We are excited for Fall and hoping for cooler temperatures.
Thank you,
Your Principal,
Javier Lazo
