Maple Ridge Updates
October 2, 2024
Dear Maple Ridge Families,
I hope you have all had a wonderful start to the new school year and are getting into some routines for the rest of the year. I have loved how welcoming the students and families are here at Maple Ridge. I love to walk through the hallways and classrooms to observe all of the amazing learning happening here!
Thank you for all of your support at Maple Ridge! We had such a great turnout at our carnival from parents and school faculty. I have was in awe of all of the hard work that PTA and parents put into this amazing fundraiser! We are so appreciative of all the support you give teachers, our school, students, the PTA by volunteering, donating, and chaperoning field trips. We are grateful for all you do!!
Parent Teacher conferences will be on October 10th. Please sign up online through your student's teacher or on our school website. Teachers are looking forward to meeting with every parent and talking about the progress that each student is making. If you are unable to make it on that evening, please contact your student's teacher to schedule another time.
Thank you so much for helping with student safety before and after school! We appreciate all of your patience as we are getting students safely on their way home after school. Please continue to help us promote student safety by using sidewalks and crosswalks instead of going through the parking lot as students are getting into cars.
This year we have a kindness wall in our foyer and on our school website. We want to encourage positivity and recognize the good things we see every day. The kindness wall shows uplifting messages for students and faculty to see. If you would like, you can submit messages using this link. All messages will be approved before the public can see it.
There are so many fun upcoming events! Please check our school calendar often to stay up to date with all of our activities. The calendar is linked below.
Have a great day!

There will be another short parade just for afternoon Kindergarten students in the afternoon. Class parties are being planned by room moms for each class.

Panorama Survey
On October 7th, our 3rd-5th graders will be participating in the Panorama Social Emotional Survey to better understand students' well-being and school experiences. As educators we want to know how students are doing both academically and emotionally so we can make sure that we are addressing any needs students may have. The survey includes questions such as:
"If you fail to reach an important goal, how likely are you to try again?"
"How much respect do students in your school show you?"
"How often were you polite to other students?"
If you would like to view all the survey questions, please click the following link Grade 3-5 Questions.
We will use the feedback from this survey to support and enhance student success. As a parent, you are welcome to request a copy of your student’s responses along with skills that can improve their success. During online registration, you had the option to opt in or opt out of this survey. If you opted your student out of the survey they will not have access to the online portal. Feel free to reach out with any questions that you may have!
