Greetings from Pete 🍂
We need more human connection; we need grace Now.
Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and right doing,
there is a field . I’ll meet you there.
When the soul lies down in that grass, the world is too full to talk about.
Ideas, language, even the phrase “each other”
doesn’t make any sense.
- Rumi
I am writing this as a message from the heart. We are in a time of great upheaval. Change is inevitable and the impermanence of the human condition cannot be argued. History is history. No matter your religious or political perspective, the collapse of the socio-political, religious and environmental domains is happening all around us. There is a collective “angst” felt around the world manifesting as fear, anger, blame, hate and violence. These are the universal elements of evil.
I have no way of knowing what, where or when this collapse will occur and there may not be an exact time, place or villain. We can see the signs and feel the anxiety present everyday if we are paying attention. This is a plea to open your eyes, to think and to feel with your heart. No matter what lies ahead in the days, weeks, months or years ahead there is an axiomatic truth – we will need the support, loving kindness, compassion and connection with ourselves and with each other. This is a universal calling that has prevailed through the Aeon’s.
Despite our angst and fears, let us not give way to the darker side of our humanity. This is a call for action, for awareness, insight, compassion, kindness, and the human connections we will need to share with and for each other as we move forward into whatever lies ahead on this journey of our collective human experience. Life on this planet, the Blue Marble, Mother Earth, is a blessing not a right. The collective human experience is not a game with winners and losers. When it collapses, we all lose, in fact we have always been on the same side of surviving and thriving as humans just trying to “be” on this planet. We just haven’t figured out how to do that yet! For our children, grandchildren and unknown generations to come this is a wake-up call for this place, in this time and space. We need grace Now.
