Principal Crowley's Corner
Week of 10/10/22
Highlights for the week ahead
~ This morning our teachers gathered for an in-service from the Delaware County Intermediate Unit on using technology in the classroom to encourage higher level thinking skills. Technology is a facet of our action plan from last year's Middle States visit, so this time together was well spent and the students will benefit from it!
~ Also on Tuesday, we will have another safety drill. We will practice a lockdown drill. We will remind the students that this is just another thing we need to practice so we all know what to do if there were ever an emergency. A Radnor police officer will be present for our drill to supervise and help us improve upon best practices.
~ Thursday: School picture day in winter uniforms and SKS choir after school

Friday: 8:30am Living Rosary in the schoolyard and 9am Monthly School Mass, all are invited to attend!

Halloweenathon Monday 10/31
Respectfully there are protocols we have had in place the last several years that I ask all families/students to continue to follow:
- There shouldn't be any inappropriate costumes: This includes guns, knives or any weapons. Let’s take the violence out of Halloween, and please absolutely no costumes that refer to the homeless /indigent. Scary yes! Violent no!
- Group costumes are allowed. However we strive as a Catholic school to support inclusivity – we ask all students to be open, inviting, and receptive to those that wish to be a part of a group. Let’s avoid hurt feelings.
Let's Go Phillies!
The Fall Social is going to be a blast!
Did you purchase your tickets for the FALL SOCIAL? It's coming soon on November 5th! It's sure to be a fun night with great food, four hour open bar and live music featuring Chico's vibe.
We had a record-breaking response so far, and tickets are going FAST so be sure to buy yours soon. Tickets to the Fall Social and 50/50 Raffle can be purchased HERE.
Did you know?
EVERY ticket to the Fall Social INCLUDES chances to win SKS favorites, such as ice cream treats for your child’s class, passes to popular after school activities at school, and passes to the Father-Daughter dance, just to name a few!
For those who love to roll the dice, there will be dozens of items on silent auction. Proceeds from the silent auction will go directly to the school. More info to follow, so be sure to check the weekly Principal Crowley's Corner email.
And don’t miss out on the 50/50 raffle. Tickets can be purchased in advance with your ticket to the Fall Social, and they can be purchased at the event. One ticket is $20, or bundle 6 for $100.
We look forward to seeing everyone on November 5th!
