WRESTLING - SCHOOL VISIT
The captains stopped by our sponsored Kindergarten class this week to talk about the wrestling team, drop off some signed posters, and of course show some moves!
SEMESTER 2 STUDENT SCHEDULES
Semester 2 schedules are available in StudentVUE. To make a change, students are asked to complete the form using the QR code that is posted outside Student Services. Reminder, course changes will be approved if the following applies:
- A senior requires a change to meet graduation requirements
- A student is in a PSEO, 916, OEC, or work program
- A student does not have 6 classes or contains a true error (i.e. two of the same classes)
- A student wishes to now enroll in an ARCC, AP, or CIS course (NOTE: many are at capacity)
Students must view their schedules on Monday (1/27) for possible changes. For schedule errors on the first day of Semester 2, go to Student Services during that hour.
MUSTANG MOCHA HOURS DURING FINALS
Mustang Mocha will be closed for the week of January 20. Our Baristas will be busy studying and preparing for finals.

MOCK TRIAL: The Mounds View Mock Trial Team has competed in their 2 in-person trials this year. Congratulations to Evan Hall & Ella Kirubakeren for being recognized as Outstanding Attorneys and Jack Gilsrud & Hannah Yang for being recognized as Outstanding Witnesses during the trials. We have two online trials before our season ends. Good Luck Mustangs!
BOYS SWIM & DIVE: The Boys Swim & Dive team won their meet with Roseville last night with several different athletes taking top honors in their events. Those earning 1st place were: Danny Bai in the 200 IM and 100 Back, Ben Lawrence in the 50 Free, Sithsovann Pin-Mene in the 100 free, Luke Schmitzer in the 500 free and 100 breast. The divers, Micah Prindle, Alex Olson and Charlie Hieb, swept the top three varsity spots! Congrats Mustangs!
GIRLS BASKETBALL: Good luck to girls basketball tonight vs. Cretin-Derham Hall. Tip-off is at 7:00 PM on Kauls Court. Hope to see you there! Go Mustangs! ALL-1N!
ROBOTICS TEAM: The team meets on Saturday (1/18) from 9:00-3:00 PM. Only 10 weeks until Competition!
MUSTANG BOYS BASKETBALL
Good luck to the boys basketball team tonight! They hit the road taking on the currently undefeated #1 team in the state, Cretin Derham Hall at 7:00 PM (5:30 PM for JV/9B and 4:00 PM for B-Team/9A).
TALENT SHOW TONIGHT!
Calling all Mustangs! Shakespeare is hosting a talent show TONIGHT at 7:00 PM in the auditorium. It costs $5.00 to enter and all are welcome! Talents include singing, piano, comedy, and more! Invite your family and friends for a talent-filled night of fun! See you in the audience!

MLK COMMUNITY DAY OF SERVICE
The Shoreview/Arden Hills Lions Club is hosting the 3rd Annual MLK Community Day of Service on Monday (1/20) from 9-12 PM at the Shoreview Community Center. It will be a morning of food, fun, and hands-on projects for all ages that will benefit organizations in the community. No Cost. Examples of what projects we will offer are:
- Snack bags & laundry soap bags for Ralph Reeder Food Shelf
- Tying Blankets for the M Health Fairview Masonic Children's Hospital (Childhood Cancer)
- Self Esteem Bookmarks & Cards
- Dog Toys for the Humane Society
- Diabetes Kits for schools & churches
- Baby things for Bundles of Love
...and more! We will also be collecting gently used shoes for Soles4Souls.
GIRLS BASKETBALL FUNDRAISER
COMMUNITY OUTREACH
In partnership with Crutches 4 Africa and Jim Galvin, Vo-Club (Volunteer Outreach Club) is doing a drive for crutches, walkers, canes, walking boots, wheelchairs, knee scooters, leg / knee braces and arm slings.
We plan to collect these donations outside of the MAC. Look for the bin!
AUDITIONS FOR SPRING MUSICAL
Auditions for the spring musical, Mean Girls will be on February 10th and 11th after school. If you are interested in performing or working backstage, go to mvtheater.org to get more information.
RAMSEY COUNTY ACCESSIBILITY SURVEY
Ramsey County Public Works is updating their Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Transition Plan and they need your input. The draft plan outlines how Ramsey County Public Works will make certain pedestrian facilities (curb ramps, crosswalks, sidewalks, and stairs.) ADA compliant. The draft plan is available on the project web page and the public comment period runs until Jan. 19. Take the survey to share your input.
MOUNDS VIEW FOUNDATION INVESTS IN EXCELLENCE
The Mounds View Schools Education Foundation (MVSEF) is an independent non-profit organization dedicated to raising funds to benefit students throughout the district. MVSEF's mission is to engage our community to invest in excellence in Mounds View Public Schools.

MUSIC 4 MV CONCERT - AUDITION SIGN UP IS OPEN
Are you looking to gain music performance experience while helping to raise money for a great cause? Music for Mounds View is hosting auditions from February 18-21 after school in the orchestra room. Musicians who are selected will perform at the annual Music for Mounds View Benefit concert. Proceeds from this concert will be donated to the Marit Swenson Shining Light Foundation and Minnesota NAMI. All musicians are welcome, regardless of experience level!
