Farewell to Ms. Panchuk
It is with mixed emotions that we announce the retirement of one of our beloved teachers, Shannon Panchuk, who has been with our school since it opened 20 years ago. Ms. Panchuk has been an integral part of our school community, inspiring countless students and colleagues with her dedication and passion for Science and the Lakeland Ridge community.
We are incredibly grateful for the many years of service and the positive impact Ms. Panchuk has had on our school. While we will miss Shannon's presence in our school, we wish her all the best in her next endeavours.
Ms. Panchuk's last day at Lakeland will be December 20th. Please join us in celebrating her career and contributions to the Lakeland Ridge school community over the past two decades.

🌲 Lakeland Ridge Winter Concert Information 🌲
Lakeland Ridge School’s Concert will be held on Tuesday, December 10 at 1:00 pm and 7:00 pm at The Park Church located at the corner of Baseline Road and Brower Drive. All students in grades one through six will be performing.
The concert is FREE for parents and guests. Seating will be on a first come, first served basis.
In the past, due to our large school population, we restricted the number of tickets students could have for the event. This year, we are not doing this. Our hope is that we should have enough seating for everyone. However, families are encouraged to attend the afternoon concert if possible, as this will take some of the pressure off seating for the evening performance.
All students will be bussed to The Park Church during the day and return to Lakeland Ridge after performing in time for dismissal at 3:10 pm. If any parents wish to take their child home after the afternoon concert at Park Church, they must complete the following Transportation Waiver form, prior to the day of the concert to give time to be approved by administration.
https://permission.click/kVAL3/ca As per EIPS Admin Procedure 260, when transportation is provided by the school it is the expectation that all students use it, except for extenuating circumstances. If you have any questions, please reach out to school administration.
We will be collecting donations as you come into the auditorium. Donations are optional. Half the money collected will go to the school to assist with bussing costs and the other half will be donated to the The Strathcona Food Bank.
Drop-off and Pick-up for the Afternoon:
On December 10, students will be bussed to The Park Church to practice stage entrances, exits and to become familiar with the facility. The students will learn where their drop-off and pick-up locations are when they attend the rehearsal field trip that day.
Drop-off and Pick-up for the Evening:
We are asking students to arrive by 6:45 pm to meet their teachers at their drop-off location.
Concert Attire

Regulation Practices
Hand Tracing
Place your non-dominant hand on a flat surface (the desk, your leg, etc). Use your finger to trace your hand without lifting it - up, down, and around each finger. As you do this, you should pay attention to your breathing and focus on the continuous movement of your finger. You can breathe in as you trace up and breathe out when you trace down. Do this for a minimum of 30 seconds!
This strategy is great for when you're feeling overwhelmed and need a quiet way to calm yourself at your desk.
For more regulation strategies you can practice at home, take a look at our Regulation Strategies page on our school website!
