February 3 - February 7
Principal's Note
Dear Colonial Park Families -
Welcome to February! January seemed extra long this year, and I'm happy to be entering into a new month. It's definitely cold and flu season, and our staff is running low on tissues, paper towels and disinfectant wipes. We welcome any donations at the office, and we will provide them to staff members in need. As always, we are grateful for our community's generosity!
February is a busy month at Colonial Park, and I wanted to provide you with some important upcoming dates to add to your calendar:
Wednesday, 2/5 - Preschool Conferences, 4:00 to 7:00
Thursday, 2/6 - Preschool Conferences, 12 to 2:55 (Early Release Day for Preschool Only)
*For Preschool Conferences, please enter through the main entrance of the building.
Friday, 2/7 - PTO Sponsored Used Book Sale - All books are $1.00
Friday, 2/7 - Goldie Gathering, Wear Blue or CP/Stoneham Spiritwear
Monday, 2/10 - 80s Spirit Day in Recognition of the 100th Day of School (80 to go!)
Wednesday, 2/12 - Early Release Day for K-4, No School for Preschool
Friday, 2/14 - Valentines Day
Monday, 2/17 through 2/21 - February Vacation
Valentine's Day is coming up on Friday, February 14, and many of our students will participate in a Valentine exchange. Just a reminder, please do not attach food or candy to your child's valentines. Non-food items are definitely fine to provide; however, there is a district-wide policy regarding food being provided or shared with other children. Thank you in advance!
Our 100th day of school is being celebrated on Friday, February 10. Once again this year, we are having an 80s Spirit Day, in recognition of 80 more school days! We are expecting to see some neon colors, lace, denim, activewear...all the classics!
Just a reminder, February vacation is coming up, and all Stoneham Public Schools will be closed Monday, February 17 through Friday, February 21. All K-12 SPS students will have an Early Release Day on Wednesday, February 12. There is no preschool on Wednesday, February 12.
I am attaching the updated February Lunch Menu. Have a wonderful week!
Best,
Rosa Flynn
