We're excited to have local sportscaster, author, & Valerius parent Scott Reister here on Thursday, 5/23 to talk about his new chapter book Baseball Spy with 3rd-5th graders. According to Mr. Reister it's "a James Bond meets Sandlot thriller" that's currently the top new release in its category on Amazon!

VAL Families,

We will be holding our end of year assembly for grades 3 - 5 on Friday, May 24th, from 2:00 - 2:45. The gym’s fire code capacity of 481 will not allow both families and students to attend so we are going to allow just the families of 5th graders who’ll already be in attendance for the 5th grade promotion to attend. Fifth grade families who plan on attending the assembly following the promotion should complete this RSVP form no later than noon on Wednesday, May 22nd so we may plan seating accordingly.

The purpose of the assembly is to recognize students who participated in J-Hawk Joggers, Girls on the Run, Girls Group, Band, and/or Chorus, and our Pen Pal program. Our PTO officers will also be recognized for their contributions to the organization to support our students and staff. A slideshow will be viewed to capture all the fun memories of the first year in our new school. To conclude the assembly, all students in grades PK - 4 will line the halls to “clap out” the 5th graders as a final farewell to the middle school. Families not in attendance can watch via live stream at the time of the assembly using this link. Search for “Valerius End of Year Assembly”.

Students in grades K - 2 who participated in J-Hawk Joggers will be recognized during their special grade level celebration on the morning of May 24.

This week the Lost & Found will be available outside the main office doors for families too look through every morning before school and at dismissal. Any items not claimed after the last day of school will be donated.
