Hello everyone! My name is Paige Bell, and I am thrilled to join the incredible team at Rosemont Lower as the new music teacher. With nine years of experience teaching elementary music, I am excited to bring my passion for music education to this wonderful community in Oak Cliff, where I have proudly lived for over a decade.

I earned my degree in Music Education from McMurry University, where I also met my husband, Matt. Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of teaching in various school settings, including public, Montessori, and charter schools. My specialties lie in Social Emotional Learning, modern band instruments, curriculum-writing and songwriting, and I am deeply committed to instilling a love of music in children.

Outside of the classroom, I am a songwriter and member of the band "Narwhals & Waterfalls," where we create Social Emotional Learning Songs for kids. You may have seen us performing at libraries or streaming our music on Spotify. At home, I am a proud parent to Ezra, who is 3 1/2 years old, and Zoe, who is 10 months old. My husband, Matt, is also an educator at Townview Business Magnet School, and we share our home with our blue-heeler pup, Luna.

In my free time, I enjoy going on runs, spending time with friends and family, watching my favorite TV shows, exploring local restaurants and immersing myself in audiobooks and podcasts. I am genuinely excited to get to know each of you and to embark on this musical journey together. Let's make beautiful music and create lasting memories here at Rosemont Lower. Go Bison!

On Tuesday, February 20th, Cenzo's Pizza and Deli is teaming up with Rosemont to help raise funds for the 5th Grade field trip to NASA and Moody Gardens. Cenzo's is a Rosemont family-owned business located at 1700 W Tenth St.

As we support our standard Culture of Literacy, we promote and support the love of reading, writing, and learning and reading is valued and evident throughout the school. The Mavs Reading Challenge is another fun way to promote reading at your campus.

Information:

Students K-12 who read for 20 minutes a day for 40 days can earn cool prizes from the Dallas Mavericks and Whataburger!

• 2024 Reading Challenge runs January 8 – March 8, 2024
• The Mavs and Whataburger are challenging students to read (or be read to) at least 20 minutes per day for 40 days. All students who log 20 minutes a day, for at least 40 days through March 8 will receive a Whataburger Completion Certificate, a Free Meal Coupon from participating Whataburger locations, and a Mavs Swag Bag
• Top 20 students will receive two tickets to a Mavs game.
• The student who reads the most minutes will also receive a Mavs Mascot visit to their library/classroom!
