Greetings DCPR Families and Community Members,
Monday, January 20th is always marked as a day of celebration in Honor of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. We are truly grateful for his incredible contributions to this great nation. This week, we continue our NWEA testing through the remainder of the month. We strongly encourage our scholars to get a good evening of rest, have a nice healthy breakfast and arrive no later than 8:05 a.m.

DCP-REDFORD SCHOOL CLOSURE TUESDAY, JANUARY 21ST
Hello, DCP Redford Families,
Due to the frigid temperatures, DCP Redford will be closed on Tuesday, January 21. All after school activities are cancelled as well. All scholars have access to their online learning platforms such as Zearn and iReady. They should take this time to work on those platforms during this time away from school. Classroom teachers may send other assignments through other communication methods. In addition, here are a few websites to help our scholars stay engaged in learning:

🔅SUMMER ADVANTAGE🔅
We are now accepting Summer Advantage Applications in the Main Office.
Summer Advantage offers rigorous, research-based academic instruction in the morning and a wide variety of hands-on enrichment classes in the afternoon. Our scholars receive two healthy meals a day, daily recreation, and an exciting environment where they can flourish academically and build confidence as leaders. In addition, scholars participate in field trips every Friday that consist of fun educational experiences, college campus visits, and scholar-led community service projects. Through innovating the learning experience, scholars gain confidence that supports their success when they return to school in the fall.
