MAKE A GRATITUDE JOURNAL
Being Grateful is Good for You
Studies show that expressing gratitude can boost your mood, strengthen friendships, reduce feelings of depression, and even help you sleep better. One way to make gratitude a daily habit is by keeping a gratitude journal. Come by the library (schedule posted) during lunch to pick up supplies and create your own! You can work with guidance from the librarian or on your own.
Feel free to attend multiple sessions to continue using art supplies, stickers, and pre-printed journal prompts to set up your journal. Practicing gratitude can make each day brighter and healthier for everyone. We hope youβll join us! This activity is co-sponsored by PTSA Healthy Lifestyles Committee .
Students in the Library in October
There are always students in the TR library. They could be reading books in comfy chairs or playing board games in the pit. Students could be in class, doing independent work on a computer or just talking with friends. Here are a few photos of our awesome Rough Riders! π
- Mini pinata making sessions where held during Hispanic Heritage Month.
- Mr. Duggan was just one of the teachers who brought his classes in to explore books.
- Ms. A. Garcia's students explored digital and print resources and library regulars hung out during lunches.
DIGITAL READING RESOURCE: SORA
Try out College, Career, and Military Readiness books in Sora!
Students, dId you know that you can use Sora to study for placement exams such as the TSI, SAT, or SAT? To find a page with linked study guides, please click HERE or on the photo above. The Roosevelt library subscribes to the CPC lending model in Sora, which means that many of the study guides will be available for simultaneous users.
