Ball Runs
BES/BIS LINC students explored gravity and force by designing and creating ball runs. The students presented their completed ball run projects to their classmates! After the presentations, the students enjoyed independently exploring each of the ball runs. Students utilized several skills during this project including critical thinking, time management, creativity, and perseverance!
Hexagonal Thinking
BES/BIS LINC students are currently exploring characteristics of giftedness and then making connections with their classmates through hexagonal thinking activities! Hexagonal thinking is a method for considering the connections between ideas. It promotes discussion and critical thinking in an engaging way!
Connecting with Community
Bridgeport ISD staff member and published author, Beth McLemore, visited the BMS LINC Elective classroom. She discussed her experiences as an author and encouraged the students as they embark on the task of creating a class book about Bridgeport. Thank you Ms. McLemore!
BMS LINC Elective students participated in a field trip to the Bridgeport Heritage Museum. The field trip was a part of their current unit of study where students are collaborating to create and publish a book about Bridgeport. Thanks to Ms. Darst for providing this learning opportunity for her students! Also, thanks to the museum for organizing the VIP tour and to Baja Street Mexican Grill for the amazing lunch!
