UW-Oshkosh Mathematical Problem Solving Contest
Students from grades 7-10 attended the UW Oshkosh Mathematical Problem-Solving Contest on the UW Oshkosh Campus. Students competed in individual and team events. There were 1,156 participants from across the state. Hugh O'Handley placed in the Top 10% of participants!
After the morning competitions, students got to experience lunch at Blackhawk Commons. The afternoon consisted of breakout sessions across campus on topics such as Molecular Geometry, What’s That Sound, Video Game Economics, Exploring Our Dynamic Earth, and many more.
Sturgeon Bay was well-represented by our students!

Goody Duathalon in Pulaski High School Friday, May 10th
We have 8 students participating in the Goody Duathlon in Pulaski next Friday! The mission of the Goody Duathlon is to help students with disabilities develop and realize their potential through goal setting and perseverance in collaboration with school and community resources. Incoming 9th Grade Athletics Information
Hello Incoming SBHS Freshmen and Families!
While it may seem like next school year is a way off, it will be here quicker than we know and many school sports begin in the summer months. We want to make sure that you are well prepared and able to participate in these athletics when the time comes so. please make note of the following meetings:
Co-Curricular Meeting –
Tuesday, June 4th at 5pm in the High School Gymnasium
*This is for all high school students who plan to participate in athletics next year. A parent/guardian is expected to attend with their athlete.
FALL Sport Registration Dates –
Monday, June 10th from 5pm – 7pm in the High School Office OR
Tuesday, June 25th from 5pm – 7pm in the High School Office
*These dates are for any athlete participating in a FALL sport next school year. Please be prepared to pay any outstanding fines/fees as well as the required sports fee at this time.

General Concert Details
- WHAT: Spring Choir Concert for Grades 6-12
- WHEN: Thursday, May 16, 2024 at 7:00PM
- Middle School Call Time: 6:15PM
- WHERE: Sturgeon Bay High School Auditorium
- Please drop off students & enter for concert through the HS back parking lot
- COST: FREE Admission - free will donation optional
- WHAT TO WEAR: All students should come dressed in their concert attire
- Middle School - Red choir shirt, black pants, shoes, and undershirt optional; will receive red choir shirt ahead of time this year (no flashy jewelry)
- Open to the public, please bring family and friends!
- Students must be present for the entire concert
- ***All students are required to attend all concerts and will be graded for their attendance and participation***
MS CHOIR (Grades 6-8)
Call Time: 6:15PM arrive, 6:20PM Rehearse Don't Be Afraid in auditorium
Check In: For attendance, check in with Aspin Heimbecher when you arrive
Holding Room: Music Lab (Health Room)
Attire: Red Choir T-shirt (handed out ahead of time), black pants, as close as possible to black shoes (make sure they are safe, no slides/crocs/high heels)
Pre-Concert Schedule:
6:00PM - Treble/CCDC rehearse with violin, drums, and piano
6:15PM - Mixed/MS Choir arrives
6:20PM - ALL CHOIRS run Don't BE Afraid on stage
6:35PM - House opens to audience (Alumni hall open prior to concert)
6:50PM - Students seated in auditorium/line up
7:00PM - Concert starts
8:30PM - Estimated concert end time
Concert Order:
Generally, the concert progresses: 6th Grade, 7/8 Grade, Treble Choir, Community Choir, City Rhythm, Mixed Choir, ALL Choir Combined Piece. There are some combined pieces throughout, but please note that middle school students are expected to stay until the end of the concert for the group combined piece.

Study Table Announcement
The After School Study Table program ends this year on Friday, May 17 for grades 6, 7, and 8. Students are encouraged to attend for the next several weeks and get help on any assignments and lessons that are missing. Teacher support and snacks will be provided.
Poetry Contest Winners
The TJ Walker Middle School Library Poetry Contest winners have been announced! First place went to Porscha Hanley, second place to Abigail Matson, and third place to Elliessa Andropolis. Additionally, Saia Stahl and Zander Jandrin both received an honorable mention. Congratulations poets!
