A Message from the Principal
Hello Cougar Families!!!
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!! I wish everyone a wonderful and blessed day as they spend time with children, family, and friends.
We finished the week with a bang! We had a beautiful weather day for Field Day 2024. Plenty of Parents, Grandparents and other volunteers that made the day fun and memorable. I want to thank Coach Berry, Mrs. Krebbs and Mrs. Assar for leading the charge for this day. Our Cougars were well feds and tuckered out by the end of the day and I am sure slept well Friday night. We look forward to next year's event at our new campus.
During our final Coffee with the Principal on Friday morning, I received some great feedback on family communication and other topics that strengthens the parent campus partnership. We are in the planning stages for the 2024/2025 school year and this feedback helps me better understand the needs and wants of our families and what needs to be addressed during the summer planning months.
This week was also Teacher Appreciation Week and our PTA treated the staff to food and relaxation. Again, our PTA put the time and effort to celebrate our teachers and we are forever grateful for the way our parent organizations have served and supported our staff during the school year.
I will keep this short as we can spend the time with our loved ones on this special day. Have a great Sunday!
Your Proud Principal of Geneva Heights Elementary,
Israel Verver, Jr.

Finally, once you arrive at the school present your photo ID to Mrs. Rios and you’ll be off to help make the students’ lunch time efficient and enjoyable. Your support is always greatly appreciated.
Shout out to Mr. Rome and Ms. Jenkins who applied for and won grant money from Woodrow Wilson Community Foundation. They were able to buy early learning and music equipment for the students.
