Share Your Favorites with #RIReads!
As you may already know OLIS is a partner on the Governor’s campaign for 3rd grade reading. This initiative, known as RI Reads, will be kicking off a social media campaign on November 27th. OLIS will be participating and we’re looking to get libraries on board for this fun campaign.
Ideas for getting involved include:
- Create a book display of staff favorites (use the attached flyers and badges for your display!)
- Ask families to add their favorites to a book display
- Set up a “shelfie” station and encourage families to take pictures with their favorites to post to social media with the #RIReads hashtag
- Get staff on board! Each day of the campaign, post a picture of staff with their favs to your library’s Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram using #RIReads hashtag
Please share this with your colleagues as well as your community partners. Let’s get the word out about RI Reads!
