I-Ready Assessments
Our annual IReady Diagnostic 1 assessment is underway.
What is the i-Ready Diagnostic?
The i-Ready Diagnostic is an adaptive assessment that adjusts its questions for each student. As a student answers correctly, the questions get more difficult. As a student answers incorrectly, the questions get easier. This adaptability allows the i-Ready Diagnostic to identify the strengths and opportunities for growth of each student.
Why is my student taking it?
The purpose of the i-Ready Diagnostic is not to give your student a grade but instead to determine how best to support their learning. It will help your student’s teacher(s) determine their needs, personalize their learning, and monitor progress throughout the year.

Get to Know our Programs
Crescent Elementary is excited to teach our students important character traits from legendary UCLA Coach John Wooden’s Pyramid of Success and his definition of success for children which is: “Success is happiness in your heart because you made the effort, 100%, to do your best!”
Coach Wooden believed and taught that the most important responsibility each of us had to ourselves was to do everything we could to achieve our own potential. He offered his Pyramid of Success and his definition of Success as a guide, stepping stones to help young people understand what it really takes to make the effort – 100% – to fulfill their potential and do their best.
Each month, our students will focus on one or two character traits from Coach Wooden's Pyramid of Success. Positive examples of each character trait will be recognized . Classroom lessons will reinforce elements of the Pyramid of Success through readings of Coach Wooden’s children’s book, Inch and Miles: The Journey to Success and other integrated activities.
September Character Focus: Hard work and Enthusiasm
Hard work: Failing to prepare is preparing to fail
Preparing for Success means you must work hard. Are you preparing to Succeed or preparing to fail? If you are looking fo the easy way, a short cut or trick you are preparing to fail because success requires old-fashioned hard work. Only you know if you are working hard as you can.
Enthusiasm: Make each day special!
You have to like what you’re doing to do what you like at your highest level. Your heart must be in it. Without Enthusiasm you cant achieve your fullest potential. Hard work combined with Enthusiasm is your powerful engine
