Inside Centennial Schools
December 16, 2024
Connecting. Achieving. Preparing.
Members of Centennial Middle School's Holiday Band performed a medley of winter songs for the residents at Waverly Gardens.
Centerville Elementary students are learning about empathy
The hallways are filling with beautiful snowflakes at Centerville Elementary! Students are creating the snowflakes during quiet time and learning how to show compassion toward and understanding of their classmates’ feelings and emotions.
Students at Blue Heron Elementary celebrated the birthday of Bluey, the school's mascot, with a birthday bash at a school-wide assembly. Not only did the students celebrate their much loved Bluey, but they also connected with others, creating a sense of community at their school.
Making connections at Golden Lake Elementary
Students at Golden Lake Elementary pair up with volunteers from Centennial High School (and two officers from the Centennial Lakes Police Department) through the school's mentorship program. This year, 44 elementary students connect with their mentors weekly. Mentors and mentees celebrated their friendships with a holiday party complete with pizza, crafts, and playing in the gym.
Special musical guest in preschool classes
Centennial preschool students enjoyed singing and dancing with special musical guest, Music with Mark. Mark is a community member and volunteer who shares his love for music with the students.
