ARDROSSAN HIGH SCHOOL IMPROV CLUB
Think you’re funny?! Any student in High School can audition for Ardrossan’s High School Improv Club. You will represent the Herd for the year as we compete against other High School’s, from the area, in the Northern Alberta Improv League. Once a month, shows take place in Edmonton from Sept until May and a huge festival in February to perhaps represent Alberta in the Canadian Improv Games in Ottawa.
Group Auditions take place next week - Tuesday Sept 17 and Thursday Sept 19 at 3:30-4:30. Nothing needed to prepare to audition. Sign-up is on the Theatre Doors. Ask Mrs. Webb for details.
AJS - Student Council
AJS - AMPS Information
Hello to all the returning band parents & Welcome to all the grade 7 band parents!
Ardrossan Music Parents Society is a fundraising group of parents who work diligently to support our band program and all its students.
Together we raise funds to purchase equipment/instruments, sponsor a few students for band camp, offer scholarships for students who will be majoring in music in post secondary studies and more.
Our best kept non-secret is our Student Band accounts. These accounts are through A.M.P.S, not through the school.
Most of our fundraisers are beneficial for the individual band students as they raise funds for their personal Student Band Accounts. Students can use these funds towards anything band/music related like band camp, festival fees, trips, instruments, sheet music, music lessons, reeds, and accessories. It is a great program with multiple benefits for the student and the band program alike. To use these funds please email our treasurer at ardrossanmusicparents@gmail.com.
Chocolate sales are already underway! Boxes are $100 each with a portion of the proceeds going directly to your child's Student Band account. Preferred payment would be cheque to A.M.P.S or
e-transfer to ardrossanmusicparents@gmail.com
**Please note your child's name and grade on cheque or etransfer so we can be certain to credit the correct student**
We will be having our AGM on September 25th at 6pm in the band room with a short board meeting to follow.
All parents are welcome to attend all our monthly meetings and are encouraged to come to our AGM. There are many ways to contribute to the success of A.M.P.S, from larger roles (sitting on the board) to smaller time commitment roles (volunteering for band events, concessions and our annual car show).
If you would like to be on our email list to ensure you are informed of all things A.M.P.S please send an email to our secretary at ampssecr@gmail.com and she will send you a membership form, which is free, just lets us know you are a part of the band parent community.
We are looking forward to working with you for a successful year of fundraising, making memories & music!
If you have any questions please feel free to reach out anytime to Kas Spiker, at ampspres@gmail.com
and be sure to check us out on social media Facebook & Instagram

Pay school fees online!
Wondering when and how to pay for school fees? School fee information for the 2024-25 school year will be posted on the PowerSchool Parent Portal in late September. All fees are due within 30 days of being posted. NOTE: Additional fees may be added throughout the year—for example, at the beginning of each semester, as your child takes part in various activities, or they may be adjusted by changes in selected optional courses in junior and senior high school. If you’re unable to pay your school fees, you can apply to have certain fees waived. The application deadline is Dec. 16, 2024.
For more information, Ardrossan Jr. Sr. High School Fees visit the on the school website. Alternatively, contact Mrs.Cleet at Ardrossan Jr. Sr. High at 780-922-2228.
Update your PowerSchool information
The EIPS Correction and Verification Form is available online through your PowerSchool Parent Portal—at the top of the left-hand menu. Use the form to access and update your child’s records information—including address, parent and guardian information, emergency contacts and medical information. Reviewing the form and submitting updates ensures the school has the most up-to-date information regarding your child.
When reviewing the form, pay close attention to all listed phone numbers, email addresses and emergency contact information. Also, if you recently moved, now is the time to ensure the Division has your updated address. Throughout the year, the Division and school use the listed information to communicate with families about important information, including updates, the latest news and events.

If you have questions about the form or your Parent Portal account, contact the school office at Ardrossan Jr. Sr. High, (780)922-2228.
