Skills USA
The automotive team competed on Saturday against twenty-two teams. There was a written, electrical, brakes, parts identification, and scanners. Students placed in 2nd place and received an $8000.00 scholarship to attend UTI for any program they offer.MR. Alvarado would like to thank each and everyone of you. who has supported this program and the students. Student have felt supported allowing the program to continue flourishing.
Nogales Jazz Band
Last Saturday the Noble Jazz Band performed at the Bonita Jazz Explosion Festival in San Dimas. They earned unanimous EXCELLENT ratings from all three judges! In addition, three students were selected for Outstanding Soloist Awards: senior Zion Dancy (drum set), sophomore Alyssa Velazquez (Bari sax), and freshman Austin Clark (alto sax).
On Thursday, the concert band traveled to Irvine to perform for the Southern California School Band and Orchestra Festival. The Nogales Band earned unanimous EXCELLENT ratings from all three judges.
The Nogales Music Department is incredibly proud of all of our programs and we are honored to be considered one of the best in the San Gabriel Valley.

LiNC Summer Program Information Presentation
This Program will teach students about careers in the Insurance Industry, Financial Literacy,
Resume/Interview skills, and Social Media networking. This program can also be added to your resume!
This program is for current 10th and 11th grade students.
Time Commitment and details: 2-3 hours per week during Summer break from June through August (range from 6 – 8 weeks).
Dates for the program :
June 7th - August 2, 2025
All virtual sessions will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5 pm to 6:30 pm via Zoom (Cameras being on is mandatory).
In addition, there will be a few in-person Saturdays, which will be held in Downtown Los Angeles
*Times are subject to change but will be provided upon acceptance to the program.
Students will receive a stipend upon successful completion of the program and curriculum.
A representative from LiNC will be in the College Center on Tuesday, March 25th to talk about the program and application. Please scan the QR code if you are interested in in attending the presentation.
2025 Walnut Valley Women's Club Scholarship
Each year Walnut Valley Women”s Club awards several scholarships ranging in value from $500 - $1,600 to a graduating senior from Nogales High School.
