The Bobcat Times
Brooker Creek Elementary Update - Week of 4/14/25

Dr. Brown's Weekly Message
Last week the staff and students took time out to recognize and celebrate our schools amazing administrator, Mrs. Gerber during AP Appreciation Week. Her warmth and kindness have a huge positive impact on the students, staff and families of Brooker Creek Elementary each and every day. The school finished the week by singing for her, Take Me Out to The Ballgame during our Bobcat Celebration. Thank you, Mrs. Gerber, for all that you do.
As we enter the last 6 weeks of school, I would like to ask parents to please take a moment this week to review and discuss with your child's their current academic progress located in focus Gradebook and the school ROARS expectations. By allowing student to have the opportunity to monitor their personal academic progress and behavior expectations, we believe it allow them to grow as responsible young citizens and increase the number of students achieving success.
Finally. thank you once again to you our parents, for helping to support a positive academic and social environment here at Brooker Creek Elementary.
Mrs. Gerber's Message
Thank you to all that sent in items for the “Stock the Lounge” activity. We are well on our way to having treats and refreshments our for teachers during testing. Believe it or not, we started testing last week and we still have 5 weeks remaining. If you are so inclined, I am still taking donations. Feel free to drop off any donations in the front office.
This past week we kicked off our PM3 Assessment cycle. All 4th and 5th grade students took a writing assessment. Our 5th grade students also took a MOCK Science assessment. This week we have our Kindergarten, 1st and second grade students taking STAR Early Literacy or STAR Reading. I don’t thank our teachers enough, but that have done a wonderful job getting our students prepared. I am confident that our students are ready, and I know that their scores will prove it.
Friday, we celebrated 3rd quarter academic and student success at the Honor Role and Principal List celebrations and at the school wide Bobcat Celebration. These events continue to warm my heart and allow everyone to see that our students are succeeding. There were 91 students with perfect attendance in the 3rd quarter, 114 student made Honor Roll and 63 students made Principal’s List. Brooker Creek is well on the path to 100% Student Success.
Finally, thank you to all of you that reached out during Assistant Principal week. Your kind words truly touched my heart.
Mrs. Gerber
