District-Campus Requirements
Clear Backpacks
The District/Campus will continue enforcing the use of clear backpacks. Please read the guidelines carefully.
HTB Dress Code
Dress Code will continue to remain the same with one addition added by the District/Campus. Please review details carefully as it will be important for students to be informed.
No pajama pants or shirts will be allowed, in addition to any house slippers.
ECHS Transportation
ECHS bus routes are being implemented in the morning only Monday-Thursday. Please refer to the attachment for details about routes and registration.
Parents will expect delays the first few days of a new school year. Buses may run a little behind schedule with increased traffic on the roadways, traffic in and around the schools, the reactivation of school zones, etc. Parents are asked to call the transportation office for details and specific information, as the transportation staff are in communication with the drivers and can provide real time info. on the stop times, delays, etc. Notifications go out to the student/parents and campus in the event there are route/time changes.
Cell Phone Update
A telecommunication device is any electronic or digital device capable of transmitting, receiving, or processing data, voice, video, or other forms of communication over a distance. The term encompasses a broad range of devices, including but not limited to:
• Mobile Devices: Such as cellphones, smartphones, tablets, and handheld gaming devices.
• Wearable Devices: Including smartwatches, fitness trackers, smart glasses, earbuds, headphones, and other wearable gadgets.
• Emerging Technologies: Any future devices that leverage telecommunication networks to provide connectivity and communication functionalities, regardless of their form factor or primary use.
For students in grades 9-12; these devices must remain turned off and not visible to the teacher and/or any while in the classroom setting, including testing. Please review the attachment for details of the cell phone update.
PTSA Membership
PTSA Membership drive has started and we would like to encourage all households to participate, including your student. There are PTA envelopes at the school office or you may purchase online. Link is noted on the button below. Your membership cards will be mailed directly to your household with opportunities for various discounts. Our goal is to get 50 new members more than last year to be eligible for a school award. In addition, if we get atleast 15 male members (fathers, uncles, grandfathers, etc.), we can also receive a special award.
We are still looking for parent representation for each grade level to serve on our PTSA Executive Board. If interested, please email me at tracie.rodriguez@ccisd.us with your first/last name, student's name/grade level, and contact information so I can contact you with more details.
District Musical
Finding Nemo
Students interested in theatre productions now have an opportunity to audition. Students from ALL high schools are encouraged to audition. If interested please note the audtion dates on the flyer.
School Supplies
Chromebook or Laptop
The most important school supply for our school is to have a personal chromebook or laptop. Chromebooks are generally lighter and less bulky; however, any device with a keyboard would be sufficient.
Additional school supplies are often the choice of the student. We recommend that students utlize a system of organization that may include additional items of interest (i.e., calendar, planner, colored folders for M/W classes versus T/TH classes). On occassion, staff may recommend some optional items but if assistance is needed with any supplies, please contact our office.
