Mr. Dennis and the garden club
Celebrating Our Garden Club's Achievements
This past season, our Garden Club students have poured their time, effort, and heart into transforming our school garden into a vibrant and flourishing space. I am thrilled to share their hard work and dedication with you all, and I invite our community to come and see the beauty they have created.
Our students have diligently weeded and organized the garden beds, ensuring that each plant has the best possible conditions to thrive. This year, we have an array of plants, including strawberries, raspberries, rough cinquefoil, Missouri ironweed, Culver’s root, anise hyssop, California oat grass, wheat, smooth blue aster, and swamp rose mallow. Each of these plants adds its own unique charm and character to the garden, contributing to the overall diversity and beauty of our space.
We are pleased to announce that we have benches and tables for community members to sit and enjoy the space. These additions provide a perfect spot to relax and take in the serene surroundings. Additionally, we have birdhouses to enhance the garden's natural appeal and attract local wildlife, creating a delightful environment for all to enjoy.
I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our Garden Club members. Your commitment and enthusiasm have been truly inspiring. You have not only improved our school garden but have also set an example of hard work and teamwork for all of us.
I would also like to express our gratitude to the district for providing us with the opportunity to create and maintain this community garden. This initiative has allowed our students to connect with nature, learn about sustainable gardening practices, and take pride in their work. It has also provided a serene and beautiful place for our community to enjoy.
We invite everyone to visit our school garden and see the results of our students' hard work. Your support and encouragement mean the world to us and to the young gardeners who have put their hearts into this project.
Thank you once again to everyone involved in making our garden a success. We look forward to seeing you in the garden!

District Attendance Policy
Regular attendance is crucial for your child's academic success. Please make every effort to ensure your child attends school on time every day and stays throughout the whole day. Consistent attendance throughout the school day allows your child to engage in learning and maximize their educational opportunities fully.
Illness: If your child is not feeling well and cannot attend school, please notify us immediately. Students who are ill should not attend school to prevent the spread of illness to others.
Excused Absences: We understand that there may be instances when your child needs to be absent due to illness, medical appointments, family emergencies, or other legitimate reasons. Please notify the school in advance whenever possible to classify the absence as excused.
Unexcused Absences: Unexcused absences negatively impact your child's education. Absences without valid reasons will be considered unexcused, and appropriate actions may be taken per district policy.
Timely reporting of absences helps us maintain accurate attendance records and ensures that your child's absence is properly documented. Absences must be reported within 24 hours.
There are two convenient methods for reporting your child's absence to facilitate efficient communication and accurate attendance records.
You can notify your child's school through the dedicated attendance line. Please leave a detailed message stating your child's name, grade, and reason for absence.
You can report absences directly through MiStar, our secure online portal for student information. MiStar provides a user-friendly interface that allows you to submit absences.
Thank you for your ongoing support in creating a positive and productive learning environment for all our students.
