This communication is intended for our Lebanon School District families. It includes information about our high school musical, State testing windows, K4 and K5 student registration, and more!

Act 80 Day - No School!
School is not in session for students on Friday, March 8, 2024, as staff is scheduled for an Act 80 day.
Parent/Guardian Listening Session
Superintendent Malinoski held a Listening Session for district parents and guardians on Tuesday, March 5, 2024. If you missed the first meeting and are interested in hearing her presentation, please consider attending the next session, which will review the same information shared during the March 5, 2024, meeting. Details are below.

District Information
K4 and K5 New Student Registration
Please share with our families who are interested in enrolling their children in our K4 or K5 programs.
To begin the registration process for K4 or K5:
- Visit - https://registration.lebanon.k12.pa.us and complete the online forms.
- Under the option, "select a registration center", choose "spring-kindergarten registration only."
- Bring the following documents to the scheduled appointment to not delay registration:
- original birth certificate, resident alien card, or valid passport
- immunization record
- proof of residency (copy of lease, mortgage, or utility bill)
- If the family is residing with someone, a residency affidavit will need to be completed, signed, and notarized
K4 Student Information
- Students must be four years old on or before August 31, 2024.
- Additional income documentation is needed including but not limited to:
- 2023 income tax return, W2 form, two recent pay stubs, PA DPW cash assistance, statement, social security statements, child support order, and any unemployment compensation documentation.
K5 Student Information
If the student is already enrolled in K4, they DO NOT need to complete the registration process again.
Family Night Out
Comprehensive Plan Update
The district is currently writing the next comprehensive plan with a steering committee looking at district data, trends, and programs. Currently, the following priorities have been identified:
- Improving Student Attendance
- Increasing Student Achievement in ELA, Math, and Science
- Fostering a Culture of High Expectations for all Students and Families
- Implementing a Systematic Curriculum that Includes Alignment to the Standards, Consistent Implementation, Common Assessments, and Data Feedback
- Promoting Student Engagement
Various teams throughout our district will submit goals for each of the priority areas. The plan is scheduled to be completed by June 2024 and presented to the Board of Directors for approval.
Who Is A Lebanon Cedar & What Are They Expected To Be?
Our Portrait of a Graduate committee finalized our district's competency selections and are currently working on defining those qualities too.

Sink Hole Update
The sinkhole that developed on our new track surface continues to be repaired with the next steps involving the turf reinstallation, asphalt surfacing, and track repairs. We are currently scheduled to replace the rubber surface disturbed through the sink hole repair. Weather permitting, the repair and surface should be finished before the end of the school year!
Future Snow Days
If the district is forced to close school due to inclement weather, we will implement our FID (Flexible Instruction Day) plan. This communication was sent to our district families on 1/26/24. If you have any questions, please contact your child's teacher or building principal.
Upcoming State Testing Dates
Students in grades 3 through 8 are required to take the Spring 2024 PSSA assessments. Students in Algebra, English Literature, and Biology are required to take the related Keystone assessment. No field trips/family vacations will be approved during the testing dates. Families will receive additional information from their building principal.
The dates for test administration include:
- Grades 3-8 English Language Arts
- April 22, 2024 - April 26, 2024
- Grades 3-8 Mathematics
- April 29, 2024 - May 3, 2024
- Grade 4 and 8 Science
- April 29, 2024 - May 3, 2024
- Algebra I, English Literature, and Biology
- May 13, 2024 - May 24, 2024
