ACT Snack help:
Help us support our Gallatin High Sophomores and Juniors by making sure they have delicious snacks to keep their brains sharp for ACT and PreACT testing. Please drop snacks off to the GHS front office anytime on Monday, April 15 and no later than Tuesday, April 16. The staff, students, and your GHS PAC truly appreciate all our parents who take time out of their busy days to donate these snacks. Remember many hands make for light work... You can sign up to help bring snacks at this link.

PAC Support Needed
Meeting Tuesday and Board members needed:
PAC needs you! We are graduating 3 of our 4 PAC board members. Please join us on Tuesday, April 16th from 5:00-6:00 in the GHS Library for snacks with the PAC. The superintendent will be speaking.
Prom Help Needed:
Prom is at the ELM this year on Saturday, May 4th from 8-11pm. Come and see the students dressed up and looking their best! If you are a teacher or parent and would like to help with decorating OR chaperoning, please email Katie Greiner: katie.greiner@bsd7.org or sign up NOW at this link.
Gallatin High Democracy Project
The GHS Democracy Project is a student-led club that started through a project grant with Humanities Montana. Each year, Humanities Montana selects libraries throughout the state to sponsor a non-partisan civic and community program called the Democracy Project. GHS has been awarded this project for the past two years. You can learn more about Humanities Montana and the Democracy Project through this link. The club advisors are Noelle Harper and Kerri Cobb.
Through mind-mapping exercises facilitated by Express2Speak Montana, our students explored various civic project ideas. They collectively chose to create an environment on the GHS campus where learning, nature, and mental health converge, establishing a lasting legacy for students and the broader community. GHS students have been thoughtful and intentional in bringing their vision to life, including implementing long-term planning and maintenance needs. They have collaborated with biology teachers, Outdoor Design Studios, a landscape architecture company, and district facilities staff to ensure every aspect of the project is meticulously planned and executed. From researching native plants and grasses to discussing design options, our students have left no stone unturned. They have prioritized using native plants and environmentally friendly landscaping techniques, strengthening the local ecosystem and mitigating the environmental impact of development.
We are excited to announce that fundraising efforts are underway. You can learn more on the club's website, where a donation link and email are listed. The green space is slated to be installed this spring and summer on the north side of the GHS campus. At the start of fall 2024, this community space will be open for all students and community members to enjoy.
