- leave school or come in late, up to 4 periods every day?

- may work any time during the week? It doesn't have to be during the work release periods.

WBL Frequently Asked Questions, Answers & Other Info
Here are some frequently asked questions and information. If I don't answer your questions, don't hesitate to ask!
- You may leave school early or come in late for 1, 2, 3, or 4 periods. I can't guarantee, but usually, you will also be in one of my advisement classes which means you don't have to stay for advisement. The administration allows my students to not stay for advisement.
- Mrs. Phillips can help you get a job, or you can get one on your own, as long as it's approved. It's not required to have a job to sign up; a job isn't required until school starts next school year (in August). Mrs. Phillips has many job leads.
- You can work any time during the week, it doesn't necessarily have to be when you leave school or 5 days a week
- For one period of WBL, you have to work 5 hours per week.
- For two periods of WBL, you are required to work 10 hours per week.
- For three periods of WBL, you are required to work 15 hours per week.
- For four periods of WBL, you are required to work 20 hours per week.
- If you are in Mrs. Phillips advisement, you may leave, but you don't have to work during that time.
- WBL counts as elective class credit. You earn a course credit for every period you leave school (for work) just as if you were sitting in a class here at Parkview. It isn't required for you to work during the hours that you leave school; you may work anytime during the week.
- There are no tests. You have to turn in a time sheet and pay stubs monthly, and you have one assignment per month to do on your own time.
- It's extremely easy to earn an A in the class. You earn course credit for the periods you aren't in school just like you would if you were sitting in a class at school. You earn course credit for EVERY period you leave school, except advisement.
- You can participate in WBL and Dual Enrollment. Many students do both. Students also participate in WBL and sports.
