Election Day is Saturday, May 4. This election season, two Bastrop ISD School Board races are on the ballot. The candidates for the positions are as follows:

Bastrop ISD will be offering a summer program for Emergent Bilinguals who will be eligible for admission to kindergarten or first grade for the 2024-2025 school year. During the day we will be helping your child to continue in his/her development of Spanish and English language proficiency, literacy, and academic skills needed for success in school.

New student registration and returning student verification is open! Visit www.bisdtx.org/registration for more information.

Returning student verification is required for all students that are currently enrolled in BISD and returning with us for the 2024-2025 school year. Log into your Family Access account now to complete the verification process.

After logging into Family Access, you will select "Returning Student Online Registration". This process allows you to verify all of your child's information is correct and provide updates for any important information that has changed such as contact phone numbers, emergency contacts, and student health history.

Student Information Verification for returning students must be completed before students can receive teacher assignments or schedules, care from campus healthcare professionals, or bus transportation for the 2024-25 school year.

If you cannot remember your Family Access credentials, use the Forgot Your Login/Password? link. If you're still having trouble logging in to Family Access, contact your child's current campus for assistance. If you are enrolling a new student who is the sibling of a student currently enrolled in BISD, you do not need to create a new Family Access account. You can enroll a new student by selecting "New Student Online Enrollment".

Mina Elementary is leading the way in returning students verified for the 2024-25 school year with 40.7%, followed by Cedar Creek Elementary with 31.9%, and Bluebonnet Elementary right on their heels with 25.9%. Let's see who will have the most returning student registrations completed by May 15.

This Friday and Saturday is a great time to swing by the Bastrop Public Library and pick up a few used books at their Book Sale. The sale runs Friday from 10 am to 6 pm and Saturday from 10 am to 3 pm. The library is located at 1100 Church Street in Bastrop. Bring the flyer below for a coupon for one free children's book.
