In going over the data collected around our Back To School days, we have decided to conduct our Open House on Thursday, May 4th from 8:15-9:15am.

We received a large majority of positive responses from our Back To School Days, and we also took into account suggestions we received.

• We will be inviting all grades on the same day.
• We are giving as much advance notice as possible.
• We have extended the amount of time families can spend in the classroom.
• Students will attend with families- no need for childcare.
• Allow our classified staff the ability to be present.
• Families will be able to further explore the campus

We look forward to seeing everyone!!

Early reminder that Open House is NOT the time to conference with teachers. If you have questions about your student, you can reach out to them and set up a time to meet.

• Every year, Lin Howe PTA sponsors the Honorary Service Awards (HSA), recognizing teachers, staff members and volunteers who go above and beyond serving our students and school community.

• Please let us know who blows you away with the time, energy, ideas, and enthusiasm they give to help make Lin Howe such an amazing school.

• You can nominate as many individuals as you like.

Maintain PTA financial records, budget, reimbursements, etc.

Equity Committee Chair
Partner with school administration to help support underrepresented families and support Equity efforts for the Lin Howe community.

Special Education Committee Co-Chair (to be a partner for our current Chair)
Coordinate programs for students and families with IEPs; bring awareness about differently abled people to our community.

Reflections Art Contest Chair

Organizes and oversees submissions for the yearly Reflections Art Contest

Let's Do This Dragons!!!

Free "lunch and learn" workshop on March 14 at noon to learn about CalABLE accounts, special needs trusts, and other government benefits. CalABLE accounts are available to individuals under age 26 with a disability. RSVP and zoom info in the attached flyer.

PURCHASE A LAWN/WINDOW SIGN FOR $10!

to honor a CCHS 2023 graduate, the promotion of a CCMS 8th grader, or the promotion of a 5th grader or Kinder student at each of our 5 Culver City Elementary schools (Farragut, El Marino, El Rincon, Lin Howe, or La Ballona).

Buy one for yourself or your student, or you can even Sponsor a Senior by purchasing a sign for a student who may not be able to afford one. Signs are great for students, parents, teachers, and staff!

Each sign is 24″ by 18″ full color. Metal “H” stake included. Can also be displayed in a window.

LAWN SIGNS ARE IN STOCK NOW! Lawn signs will be available for pick-up or purchase on Thursday 3/16 from 4-5pm, in the parking lot between Farragut Elementary and CCMS.

Alternate pick-up/sales dates will be held from March through May and at each school's respective Open House. Stay tuned for email notifications with pick-up times, dates, and locations.

THE LAWN SIGN SALE WILL END ON June 5th AT 12PM, OR WHILE SUPPLIES LAST.

This fundraiser is sponsored by the Culver City High School PTSA. All proceeds for each school’s lawn sign sales will go to the CCHS PTSA to be reinvested back into the school and used for scholarships for the senior class.
