8th grade families, please mark your calendars for Step Up Night at Lockport High School on November 14th. Also please note that enrollment for the class of 2029 closes on November 15th. More information can be found on the 8th Grade page of Lockport High School's website. You can also find important information in the OP 8th Grade Newsletter from early this year.

As we approach Veterans Day, please consider some different ways to help recognize and support our troops. Oak Prairie will have an assembly with our students to recognize those that have served and we're participating in Operation Support Our Troops to collect much needed supplies for our troops. See the flyer below for items that are being collected.

Parent Teacher Conferences are right around the corner! Scheduling for individual conferences is open using the Meet the Teacher platform. See the attached letter for more information on signing up and using the platform. We did have a small technology glitch that impacted a few teachers and caused for a double booking. You should have received a message if this impacted your schedule. Please contact Ms. Lynette to help with rescheduling if the teacher is not showing up when you attempt to rebook. We apologize for this inconvenience.

• Nov 27th-29th - Thanksgiving Break - No School

Students use their ID to pay for a school lunch. If they do not have their ID they can still get a lunch charged to their account, but they are not allowed to purchase a-la-carte items without their ID.

You can add money to their ID by sending a cash or check to school or by using MySchoolBucks.

Is your child in need of extra support with homework, studying, or reteaching? SOS will run every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday and students can take the activity bus home after SOS. The Activity Bus Permission Slip must be on file with the office before a student is allowed to ride the bus.
