The Viking Culture this year is to "Win the Day". We challenge all students and staff to pick 1 goal each day to accomplish. When you have succeeded with that 1 goal, you have "Won the Day!"

Here are a few ways to "Win the Day"

• "Flip the Script" on struggles/challenges and make them successes!
• Follow "Kaizen" - strive for continuous improvement each day!
• "Be Kind" - smile, say hello, look out for your fellow vikings! Remember - everyone is going through a battle we may not know.. Be Kind Always!

In order to finish strong for the 2024-2025 school year, Cerro Villa is encouraging students and staff to "Level Up" for the remainder of the year. "Leveling Up" means being better than we were in the beginning of the year. As we accumulate our "Win the Days", we are "Leveling Up"!

For the 24-25 school year, Cerro Villa fundraised $3,355.32 ❤️🎉❤️🎉

CV Vikings completely surpassed the school goal of ($2000) and out did our school best from last year ($1500). Achieving this goal provides a school-wide Free Dress (date TBA).

Finns Challenge completers: We had 5 Vikings (2 staff members, Tanenbaum/Jones and 3 students; Kalianne M., Joany F., Elanna A.) complete Finns Challenge and earn Lunch on the Principal!

Top homeroom with highest # of students registered was Mr. Tayag (they will earn a separate Free Dress day).

Great example of "Winning the Day" and "Leveling Up"!!

CV Alumni and VPHS Senior Kash Talauega became the 1st ever Spartan Wrestler to win a CIF Southern Section Masters Championship! Congrats Kash!

CV students and counselors created Thank You cards for our local Firefighters for their dedication to keeping us safe and fighting the LA fires!

VPHS held their annual French Wedding on Friday! CV French 1b students attended the wedding and performed a traditional French Dance!

Thank you Leadership students for providing lunch time games!

Congrats to VPLL on the 60th Opening Day! VP Baseball, VP Cheer, and Mr. Jones were in attendance to support Opening Day!

On Wednesday, February 26th, OUSD will celebrate the annual "Principal for the Day", inviting community members to visit and celebrate our schools.

Cerro Villa will host City of Villa Park Mayor Nicol Jones! Mayor Jones is a long-time Villa Park resident, having moved to Villa Park as a child. She graduated from U.C. Irvine and earned her Master’s degree from Chapman University. She resides in Villa Park with her husband, Chris, who is a CTO for a software company in Irvine. They have four children together, all of whom attended the same Villa Park schools that Nicol attended as a child. Her oldest son is currently serving our country as an officer in the United States Air Force. Nicol has a long history with CV, PFSO and was also the driving force to establishing CV's Wellness Center! CV is excited to welcome Mayor Nicol Jones!

• Cultural Activities: Kung Fu, Yo Yo, Lion Dance, Calligraphy, Drawing, Handicraft, etc.
• TUITION : FREE (bring your own lunch, snacks, drinks)
• GRADE LEVELS : Incoming K – 6 Graders

This is a major fundraiser for our school and a fantastic community event! 100% of the proceeds directly support our outstanding academic, athletic, and cultural programs on campus.

• Tickets are $10 each and can be purchased from any VPHS Booster Club, at the breakfast, or PFSO Website.
