Words from our Principal
With the campus empty, there isn't a lot to update you on for student activities. However, I assure you our teachers and students are working hard! Distance learning is challenging and I have received so many emails from students who want to return to school. The staff feels the same way, and I'm sure parents do too! We are doing the best we can in this difficult time but I look forward to the day when the hallways and classrooms are teeming with crazy teenagers again.
This week is Teacher Appreciation Week and today is School Nurse Appreciation Day. Please encourage your children to take a moment to express their gratitude with a nice message to their teachers and nurse! I'm sure it will make their day!
Thank you to our incredible team of professionals who make learning exciting and fun for our kids! And thank you to our nurse who keeps everyone safe on a daily basis!
I know many of you have questions about iPad distribution. We are patiently waiting for the plan from district IT. It isn't as easy as grabbing an iPad and handing it out because sanitation and setup procedures have to be followed. We are hoping to have an answer sometime this week so we can update those families who are waiting for devices.
I also hope to share with you our plan for promotion this year by next week. Sadly, we will not gather to celebrate this 8th grade class in traditional fashion, but we have some ideas in mind that will allow us to celebrate their promotion. Look for a district survey in the next day or two so you can provide us with input and ideas! Be sure to order your Class of 2020 lawn signs by 9pm TONIGHT!
Thank you to all of you for your patience through all of this. Feel free to reach out to any teacher, counselor, or administrator if you have questions or need support. We are here for you.
Take Care and Stay Safe,
Teresa Kramer
