HIGH SCHOOL
National Honor Society
The members of this year’s Oley Valley Chapter of the National Honor Society completed a total of 908 combined hours of community service and an additional 370 hours of peer tutoring, and this number continues growing as altruistic students go past their basic member requirements. This year, NHS facilitated several service projects such as the pot pie dinner, princess ball, food pantries, big brothers and big sisters activities, and bowling fundraisers. They truly embody the school's motto “Enter to Learn, Leave to Serve”. The dedication of the students and staff who strive to make NHS exceptional is invaluable to the school. A positive school atmosphere contributes to the success and learning of all students. A thriving school contributes to a strong community and a better world. NHS students are working hard to represent the Oley Valley Lynx and improve the world, starting in the school and spreading outwards. We are pleased with all the hard work put into this year and hope to continue the productivity in the years to come!

Workforce Wednesday
We are pleased to announce the successful completion of our second year of Workforce Wednesday presentations held in the high school library. Each month, Mrs. Muriel curates a series of sessions featuring esteemed guest speakers from various career fields. These sessions, held on Wednesdays, allow students to engage with professionals based on their individual interests. This year, we hosted 27 distinguished speakers and saw an impressive attendance of 446 students. If you are interested in being a speaker for next school year, please contact Mrs. Muriel at jmuriel@ovsdpa.org.
The Tractors Taking Over Oley Valley High School
On May 29, 2024, the Oley Valley FFA chapter celebrated the chapter wide favorite, Tractor Day. Tractor Day happened to be on the last day of school for the seniors this year, giving them even more to look forward to. Students look forward to this day all year and are ready to wake up bright and early when Tractor Day comes round. The tractors get to the school around 6:30, which means some long early morning drives for some of the FFA members. This year there were a record breaking 18 tractors along with a few lawnmowers that pulled into the high school parking lot driven by our FFA members, excited to show off their rides. After taking the much-anticipated pictures the tractors were moved to the fairgrounds, right next to the school until they were ready to be driven home at the end of the school day. Tractor Day is not only exciting for FFA members but also everyone schoolwide. Everyone enjoys seeing the display of unique tractors parked in the fairgrounds. It is sad to say that this was our seniors' last Tractor Day. Seeing our seniors drive away made us excited to see all that they accomplish with their lives.
