HES Back to School "Save the Dates"
August 1st, 2024
Dear Hillendale Families,
It's hard to believe that it is already August! I hope that you and your huskies have been having a terrific summer filled with family time and relaxation. We are excited to share the following schedule for a few “back to school” events upcoming. As you review the schedule below please note that there will be ample staff present to direct you to specific locations upon your arrival.
Thursday, August 15th:
9:00 AM - 10:00 AM - New Family Orientation & Tour (1st - 5th Grades)
All families that are new to Hillendale this school year (in 1st - 5th grade) are welcome to visit for a brief presentation about Hillendale Elementary and a school tour! We are so excited to meet you!
Thursday, August 22nd:
1:15 - 2:00 PM - Kindergarten “Sneak-A-Peek”/First Bus Ride
2:00 - 2:30 PM - Kindergarten Parent Orientation
Parents/Guardians will stay in the LGI for a presentation while students receive a tour of the school and enjoy a few minutes on the playground!
2:30 - 3:30 PM - “Sneak-A-Peek” (1st - 5th Grades)
Students and families are invited to visit their new classrooms and meet their new teachers. We are so excited to see you!
Thursday, September 5th:
5:00 - 6:30 PM - Back to School Night (1st - 5th Grade) & PTO General Meeting
Parents and guardians of Hillendale 1st - 5th graders are invited for our annual “Back to School Night!” Each homeroom teacher in grades 1 - 5 will hold two presentations to accommodate families with multiple children at Hillendale. Kindergarten parents and guardians need not attend as our Kindergarten Orientation is on August 22nd. Our PTO will also host its first General Meeting of the school year this evening. This is an adult only event. More details will follow in early September.
