Friday was the end of the six weeks. Progress reports will be posted on Parent Portal on Tuesday, February 18.

The end of the 9 week grading period will be Friday, March 14.

On Wednesday, February 19 all 5th and 8th grade students will be taking their Science interim test.

On Friday, February 21 all 8th and 10th grade students will take their U.S. History interim test.

We will also have make up tests for any students who missed the English/Reading or Math interims.

These tests will allow students and teachers to see how much they have already learned this year. It will also help us plan instruction to best support our students before the STAAR tests in April.

No sports this week.

We will be hosting playoff games for other districts this week.

Throughout the school year we conduct several safety drills. Next week we are scheduled to do our annual severe weather drill. In case you were not aware, our elementary hallway is a reinforced storm shelter. In the event of severe weather, we secure all of our staff and students in that shelter.

Good luck to our band students who will be competing in the Solo and Ensemble competition on Saturday, February 22. Our competitors are:

Our juniors and seniors will be attending the Spark Job Expo on February 26. This will be a great opportunity for them to connect with various businesses and companies locally and statewide.

The next school board meeting will be on Monday, February 17 at 6:00 pm.
