We are officially one school week away from Winter Break. This also means that we are just one week away from the end of Quarter 2, so we strongly encourage our students to check over their grades and get any last-minute work in that they need to.

A big thank you goes out to the 129 families who joined us for Lunch with a Loved One this past Tuesday. Our staff had a great time interacting with the students and their families, and we were happy to have you into the building for this event. We will likely hold a second Lunch with a Loved One later this year, so if you didn't get the chance to join us this time, we hope you can come next time!

Don't forget about the upcoming Night of Engagement on Tuesday. All PLSD families are encouraged to come to The Wigwam on Tuesday the 17th, from 6-8 pm, to learn more about school clubs and activities for our students, to team up for family trivia, and to enjoy special performances. We hope to see you there!

The district will host several informational sessions for students and families to explore how College Credit Plus can unlock academic opportunities, lighten future college costs, and give your student a boost toward their goals.

This form will be linked in each Community Corner update, allowing families to offer feedback to the counseling and administrative team regarding social justice, mental health, academic support, friendships/relationships, etc. Counselors and administrators will review the feedback on a weekly basis and send out any updates to concerns/questions in the next Community Corner update.

The family of Konnor Gebarski would like to congratulate him on earning 5th place at last week's Mid-American Oireachtas, held in Illinois. With the 5th-place finish, Konnor has qualified for the World Championships in Dublin, Ireland, this April. Way to go, Konnor!
