Welcome Back Hart-Ransom Families!
I really enjoyed time off this summer with my family camping, swimming, visiting family members and volunteering at summer camp in the mountains. It is great to be returning to seeing all of you soon on campus. I know our teachers are looking forward to reconnecting with you as well.
A friendly reminder that our on-campus class registration opens tomorrow, August 7 at 9 am. The link is provided in this newsletter. This link is the best way to access the courses to sign up.
The deadline to sign up for on campus and off campus classes is August 16 (3 pm for submitting vouchers.)
This Thursday, August 8 is our Back to School event in the large gym from 9 am to noon for grades TK-8. Our high school Back to School event will be Tuesday, August 13 at the College Campus, 2209 Blue Gum Ave. Modesto from 9-11 am. Both events will allow students to get their photo taken (including for student ID), pick up school supplies, and curriculum for those still needing to pick this up.
We have a large number of new students, and will have 111 students in grades TK/K/1, and I am looking forward to soon hosting some opportunities for our new families (and returning families) to participate in some great meet and greet events with other young families to share ideas, and resources to engage your student and make your time out of the starting gate productive and enjoyable for all of you. More details soon to come...
A hearty welcome to three amazing new Advisory Teachers that have joined our team: Annette Vande Pol and Renae Hugen who will be serving our TK-8 program and Hilary Heinrich, who will be teaching math in our high school program. I am really excited about what these teachers will be bringing to our team. They are all well connected with a history in our community and a strong track record as a teacher and an advocate for students. Please join me and our team in welcoming them!

Student Data Confirmation
Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year! We need you to update student data in Aeries (also known as Data Confirmation). Please follow these instructions to update family and emergency contact information for all students, including new HRCS families:
Login to Aeries Parents Portal Account: https://hartransom.asp.aeries.net/student/
Make sure the email address used to login is the one you provided to the school.
Hart-Ransom has created a portal account with the family provided email.
If you never login or do not remember the password, use the “forget password” button to reset.
Once logged in, you will see the reminder shown above.
Or you can find the link under the “Student Info” bar with “Data Confirmation”
If no updates are needed, please click the steps to the last page and submit the confirmation.
For families who need assistance with the Data Confirmation process, or if you run into any issues, contact the school office at 209-523-0401 or email Annie at azonligt@hart-ransomcharter.com. The office staff is available to assist you on campus from 8:00 am-4:00 pm Monday-Friday.
The deadline for Data Confirmation is September 6, 2024.

High School's Back to School Event
Junior High Orientation
6-8th Grade FlexPoint (FLVS) Orientation
Is your 6-8th grade student new to FlexPoint?
New FlexPoint students and parents are required to attend an orientation - Wednesday, August 14 at 11:30 AM on the Main Campus. Please bring your Chromebook.
High School Orientation
Is your student new to Hart-Ransom Charter High School?
All new Hart-Ransom students and parents are required to attend High School orientation - Tuesday, August 13 at 10:30 AM. This orientation is also recommended for current HRCS students entering 9th grade, who have not had a sibling previously attend HR High School.
Off Site Enrichment Vouchers are Due August 16.
Please review the Enrichment Guidelines prior to participating. Attendance is required, and students may be dropped for missing classes.
Curriculum Workshops
HRCS staff present a variety of curricular workshops at the beginning of the school year, to help get you on the road to success! Check out the flyers below for workshops that will be offered at the beginning of the school year. Sign up through the On-Site Enrichment Catalog to reserve your seat.
Student Device Coverage
All HRCS students who are assigned a school issued device - iPad or Chromebook - are highly encouraged to purchase device insurance at the beginning of the school year.
Just $24 per device will cover accidental damage, loss and theft! Replacement costs for damaged or lost devices are $350 each. Protect your school supplies today! Device insurance can only be purchased online through School Device Coverage.
Tips for using an Online AWR
For those using the online AWR format, the online version is not available for direct editing. However, you may opt to save a copy to your device, in order to create a digital file.
Save a copy by clicking FILE then MAKE A COPY. Add your student name and save a copy to your personal device. Please contact your Advisory Teacher with any questions.
Junior High Athletics at Hart-Ransom
HRCS students in grades 6-8 have the opportunity to participate in various Hart-Ransom athletic programs, in conjunction with Hart-Ransom Elementary 6-8 grade students. Details will be shared directly through ParentSquare by the District Athletic Director regarding try-outs, clinics, practices, games and other related information.
Hart-Ransom teams include: Boys and Girls Volleyball, Boys and Girls Basketball, Co-Ed Soccer and Track & Field. Parents will need to complete consent and release forms before their student may participate in athletics activities.

2024-2025 FUNDRAISERS
Throughout the school year, HRCS offers a variety of opportunities for fundraising. Fundraisers help support student field trips and a variety of activities and incentive programs on campus. We encourage you to participate in our fundraisers and share them with friends and family!
