PARKING LOT REMINDERS
- The North lot is NOT a drop-off/pick-up zone. It is for parking only. We MUST keep the loop open for busses and emergency vehicles. This rule applies to everyone, so please be cooperative and follow it.
- The large, central lot has two lanes: a drop-off/ pick-up lane on the outside of the loop and a driving lane on the inside.
- Please note: Drivers MAY NOT get out of their cars while in the outside drop-off/pick-up lane. Students must exit to the outside of the loop, and drivers must not exit the car to walk students up or pick them up. If you have younger children who need to be walked up or picked up at the door, you MUST park your car in one of the lots or on the street.
- Smoking and pets are not permitted on school grounds. Please leave your pets at home for the safety and comfort of all of our students and families.
A GREAT RESOURCE IN OUR OWN BACKYARD
CARE is a resource in our community that helps families and individuals who are experiencing difficulties with mental health or substance abuse. CARE's Student Assistance program offers families the opportunity to receive a thorough assessment for children who are experiencing mental health issues. CARE will then provide resources to assist with concerns. CARE also is a great place to attend parenting classes for Early Childhood through Teen. Speciality classes related to anger management and play and learn groups for younger children are also programs provided through CARE. For more information or for a referral to CARE's Student Assistance program please contact our social worker, Mrs. Rinna, or contact CARE at 586-541-CARE.
Health Guidance for Going to School
We want to partner with our families to make our school a safe, healthy and welcoming environment for your students.
Make sure to send your child to school if they are generally healthy and able to participate in their usual day-to-day activities. Avoid keeping children at home unless they are too sick to participate.
We have put together this helpful chart of when to keep your child home and when they can return to school for common illnesses

Hot Food Deliveries
Please do not plan to drop off "hot lunches" for your child at lunch time. This includes parents/family members dropping off fast food and/or Door Dashing food for their children. It is logistically challenging to ensure that your child receives the food delivery on time and often results in students spending much of their lunch period awaiting a delivery.
Free Breakfast & Lunch
The State of Michigan will provide a free breakfast and lunch for all students who want them throughout the 2024-2025 school year. Although not required, we do ask that families complete the Education Benefit Form located HERE. By doing so you help ensure the school receives additional funding.
