Hey Seniors! Have you ordered your Cap & Gown yet?! Now is the time! Visit the Herf Jones Website and place your order today.
- Attire: Conservative dress is required. Senior ladies should wear dark dresses/skirts/slacks with dark shoes (preferably black). Wear shoes appropriate for a ceremony (not flip flops or boots). The shoes should not be too high as you will have to go up and down steps. You should not carry purses, cameras, phones, or anything else. Senior men should wear shirts with white collars, dark pants (not jeans or shorts), and dark dress shoes (not tennis shoes, flip flops, boots). Wear dark neckties.
- Reminder: Do not wash, iron, or dry-clean the cap and gown. Heat will melt this material. If the gown is wrinkled, hang it in the bathroom where the steam can help remove the wrinkles. Do not lose the tassel – it cannot be replaced. As you march in, the tassel is worn on the right. Wear the mortarboard (cap) flat on the head.
- Caps: Students may decorate their caps for graduation following the guidelines below: ALL decorations must be school appropriate, ALL decorations must be flat on the cap, NO decorations can hang from the cap or stand up on the cap. Any cap that does not meet these guidelines will not be allowed at graduation.
On Senior Night, students should wear their cap/gown. Students need to wear the same attire that you would wear to graduation.
Warrior Spotlight!
Trevion Hicks
Mrs. Alston Crudup would like to shine the Warrior Spotlight on Trevion Hicks. Trevion deserves to be in the spotlight for his exemplary Media Center etiquette. Trevion comes in every day and uses the sign in sheet to use the AV room or to sit at a table and work on his Journalism class. Trevion is the perfect example of what I want the media Center to stand for. He uses his resources and takes learning to another level when he asks questions about what materials he can use and is very respectful of the other students who are in the media center as well. He also sometimes encourages others to join him as he chooses to spend his lunch period in here doing research.
Tiana Wilson
Ms Foster would like to shine the Warrior Spotlight on Tiana Wilson. Tiana works hard to complete her work. Tiana goes above and beyond when completing her assignments. Tiana makes very wise choices in the classroom and manages her time wisely. Tiana also shows that she takes care of her responsibilities that she has out of school. I enjoy teaching Tiana and I hope she continues to try her best at all times. She will be a very successful young lady once she graduates. Go Tiana!
